Sometimes, when you’re just starting a business, you don’t have a big payroll budget to hire employees. But in order to grow your business, you’ll need help to offset your own workload! 🙌🏾
Don’t worry- Here are my tips and tricks to get you started (on a budget!)
1. Look for interns in your industry at a local college in your state.
2. Start with an independent contractor (freelancers) on 1099, so you don't have to pay taxes, employee benefits, or provide the equipment. Ensure this person has the right experience and is set up with the correct equipment to perform the job. Look for someone wanting part-time work.
3. Look for partnerships with someone interested in a medical billing business who can provide funding to cover the cost to hire employees. Share your visions and aspirations of the company. My first office manager accepted a lower salary because I explained my vision to her.
4. Look for start-up grants. There's a program called FAIM that helps start-up businesses with funding. Check and see if they offer it in your area.
5. Use your tax return to invest in your business.
