Electron Plus (E+) is a guided pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) device that creates a powerful electrical magnetic field that is guided from the practitioner into the patient.⚡️

Much like a battery, the human body is electric. Our cells carry voltage. The electric charges necessary to maintain optimum health in our cells can decline from age, injuries and illness. Electrons Plus helps restore this healthy electrical balance within the body.🪫🔋

After an injury, inflammation is part of the body’s natural healing process. Inflammation is normal as it’s the body’s response to protect the injured area. However, chronic inflammation and excessive bruising is a concern. E+ PEMF has major benefits for acute injuries to help decrease pain and increase healing time:👇🏼

1️⃣Reduction of inflammation. PEMF helps reduce inflammation, which is a key factor in the formation of bruises and swelling. By modulating inflammatory responses at the cellular level🧬, it helps minimize the extent of bruising and accelerate the body’s natural healing processes.🪄

2️⃣Enhancement of circulation. PEMF improves blood flow🩸and circulation, which in turn helps to facilitate the removal of waste products and edema from the injured area.🌀 This improved circulation supports the function of the lymphatic system, which plays a crucial role in draining excess fluid💧 and reducing swelling. ROCKTAPE is a great compliment to this!⭐️

3️⃣Cellular repair and regeneration.🧬 PEMF supports cellular repair and regeneration, which contributes to faster healing of damaged tissues and aid in reducing the severity and duration of bruising.⏰

Check out this before and after using PEMF on a C-Section scar after only ONE session!✨ It broke up scar tissue right before our eyes, activated her lower abs, and she started to have feeling where numbness was before.🥳👏🏻

🪄Pulsed electromagnetic frequency (PEMF) has been scientifically proven to help stimulate new growth from a cellular standpoint, decrease inflammation, and improve range of movement.🤓 When we stimulate cellular turn over we also produce what’s called c o l l a g e n✨ Collagen is well known for strengthening the skin physically. This all continues to help repair tissues and help strengthen weak muscles.🙏🏼

🪄Electrons Plus and its electromagnetic pulses can supercharge your body’s natural recovery processes. Witness scars fade and wounds mend faster than ever before! These gentle waves stimulate your body’s cells at a deep, molecular level.🧬 They activate the cells’ natural repair mechanisms, boosting blood flow and nutrient delivery to the scar site. This heightened cellular activity accelerates the healing process, reducing inflammation and scar tissue formation.

The result? Faster, more efficient healing, even for fresh scars!🤘

Dive into the world of PEMF and experience the science of accelerated recovery firsthand.✨✨ Got a gnarly scar? Let’s give it a go🤩

Another post op project came my way this week🤓

Head on car collision🚗 was the source of this bad humeral head break, leaving a painful gnarly scar and severely limited ROM. It’s going to be a long road ahead, but with the power of E+ PEMF 🪄 in addition to manual therapy, we gonna get her right in no time👏🏻👏🏻

One of my finishing techniques I typically add to a post op session, is the use of ROCKTAPE⚡️so the rehab care continues at home.✨

Long small strips like this are meant for contusions, swelling, and other injuries where inflammation control are crucial.✅ Small short strips are applied in a ###X pattern to help with scar tissue.✅

How does it work??
👇🏼
RockTape microscopically lifts the skin away from the muscle and fascia below, creating a decompressive effect. This allows more space in between layers to move more freely and kicks your lymphatic system into gear to help decrease swelling.🤓👍🏼

The power of PEMF✨

Left photo: after first documented session, before the kinesiotape from the last post. ~8 weeks post op
Right photo: after second documented session today (3 days later)

It broke up scar tissue and decreased inflammation right before me and eyes👀✨

Check out this wicked scar 👀👌🏼

Shoutout to my client who beat cancers butt like a champ🏅✨ We’ve been working together for awhile now on this and have finally reached the healed scar stage which opens the door to a lot of other fun modalities🤩

Why is my finishing go to in sessions?🪄

Kinesiology tape is a stretchy, elastic cotton strip with an adhesive backing that is designed to mimic the elasticity of human skin. When applied to the skin, it gently lifts the upper layers, creating space between the skin and underlying tissues. This space allows for improved blood circulation, lymphatic drainage, and reduced pressure on pain receptors, which can contribute to pain relief and improved healing.✨✨

In the context of SCARS, tape can help in a few ways. First, by lifting the skin, it can reduce pressure on scar tissue, which may help to minimize discomfort and promote better healing. Using this ###X pattern is one of my favorites, especially if it’s a gnarly scar.👌🏼 The improved circulation and lymphatic drainage facilitated by the tape can also help to reduce swelling and inflammation around the scar.✨ The gentle support provided by tape can also help to promote better posture and movement, which can be especially beneficial for individuals with scars that may limit their range of motion or cause discomfort during certain activities.🤘🏼

Wouldya look at that👀✨

Rounded forward shoulders is basically described as a resting shoulder position that has moved forward from the body's ideal alignment. Your shoulders find themselves rounding forward, knots appear in your upper back, you get a sore and stiff neck- all symptoms that are probably the reason why you’re on my table.💥

Pulling those hunched forward shoulders back from 💩 posture, dropping those traps down and making them level, smoothing out fibers around the shoulder blades- all creating more balance in the body.🤌🏼

The physical manipulation of tissue has two major physical effects:

1️⃣ Relaxation and normalization of the soft tissue (muscle, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments),
which releases nerves and deeper connective tissues. We want pliable and squishy to be the goal🫠
2️⃣ Increase in blood and lymph circulation

Work on the problem tissue, lengthen it, and break down the adhesions until a normal range of movement and proper posture can be restored, all while increasing blood flow which feeds your cells with both oxygen and nutrients to promote healing.👐🏼

Relax, release, reset, repeat🪄✨

Old post but a good one! Who remembers this room?!😅 I’ve had a lot of shoulder issues come my way these past few weeks, thought this would be a good blast from the past.✌🏼

BICEP TENDON✨✨

Check out of this before and after👀

How’d I make this happen?
👇🏼
Shoulder work and a bicep tendon mobilization and reset = magical increased ROM and decreased pain.🥳

Your bicep muscle attaches to the humerus bone via two tendons. One of the attachments is known as the long-head, which is a thin tendon that runs through a groove at the front of the shoulder.🦴 (SWIPE to see➡️) If your biceps tendon slips out of this groove, it may slide down toward the chest and end up on the other side of the groove, where it may cause pain and other functional problems.💥

Symptoms of a slipped biceps tendon may include⬇️
• Clunking when turning the arm inward or outward
• Pain in the front of the shoulder
• Pain referring down into the biceps muscle
• Pain in the front of the shoulder and pain when placing the hand behind the back
• A catching pain in the front of the shoulder as the arm is raised or lowered
👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼
Mobilize that tendon to where it’s suppose to be and wha-laaa✨ Magic.

What to do next? Figure out why this may be the issue, especially if it happens frequently. Next, strengthen shoulders to help make those biceps bullet proof.🤘🏼

Issues with your shoulder tissues? I gotchu✌🏼

Disclaimer: Full consultation and assessment of shoulder always happens first.☑️ If you have reoccurring shoulder issues, talk with your doctor or physical therapist to find the corrective course of action that’s recommended for you.

HIP FLEXORS✨

“Hip Flexors” refer to a group of muscles that flex (or bend) your hip.

There’s no formally defined muscle group because so many muscles contribue to hip movement, so exactly which muscles are classed as “the hip flexors” varies depending on where you look. They are several muscles that bring your legs and trunk together in a flexion/bending movement. They allow you to move your leg or knee up towards your torso, as well as to bend your torso forward at the hip.

Every time you take a step, you are using your hip flexor muscles.🚶🏼‍♀️Sitting too long or all day shortens and tightens these muscles.🧎🏼‍♀️ Prolonged periods of flexion without stretching can cause these muscles to tighten and shorten over time, reducing their power output, affecting your posture, and even causing back and hip pain.⚡️

Manually working these muscles and tendons, as seen here☝🏼 an active pin and stretch, will increase their length, decrease pinchiness near joints and attachment points, and also help prevent injury. 🤸🏼‍♀️ Dynamic self care stretching, or stretching in motion, is a good way to lengthen and strengthen this muscle group at home.✨

MOVEMENT✨

What’s the difference between active and passive movements?🤔

PASSIVE movement is an external force, typically by someone else, (me😉) puts you into a certain range of motion. There is no muscular contraction or motor control necessary to perform these moves. They require zero strength and control, hence they are passive. Passive exercises help prevent stiffness in your joints, work to stretch muscles, and can help increase and maintain range of motion.

ACTIVE movement, is where you’re able to do the movement without any assistance. You have control of the movement and over the muscles being used. Active exercises help strengthen the communication between the brain and body for increased movement. Using active exercises will provide the brain with the stimulation it needs to rewire itself for better body function. So, you do the work of moving, no help by me, I just move with moves your doing to help create that tension release.😉

BOTH have its benefits, so I like to incorporate both active and passive movements during sessions!

🎥: active movement of the upper back/traps

*Disclaimer: these techniques are not from “Active Release Techniques (ART),” the specific known course taught. Just simply creating active movements in assisting the muscle to relax and release tension.🤸🏼‍♀️

Are you someone who has 💩 posture?

Nearly everyone I see has some sort of tension in their upper back and neck, in the world we live in it’s hard to avoid it. People with jobs that require you sit all day have it particularly hard.🧎🏼‍♀️ Rounded forward shoulders can basically described as a resting shoulder position that has moved forward from the body’s ideal alignment. Your shoulders find themselves rounding forward, knots and soreness appear in your upper back, you get stiffness up into your neck, which may lead to frequent headaches- all symptoms that are probably the reason why you’re on my table.💥

✌🏼 primary things lead to a posture posture:
1️⃣ Overactive muscles that have become tight and are pulling the shoulders into the forward position.
2️⃣ Underactive muscles that have become weak and are failing to pull the shoulders back into a neutral position.

How to help this?🤔

👉🏼The first part involves stretching out the overactive muscles.🤸🏼 And the second part calls for the turning on and strengthening of the underactive muscles.🏋🏼‍♀️

Tight muscle fibers may seem to lock the shoulders in the forward position. So it is important to help these guys out to enable the shoulders and neck to be re-positioned correctly. That’s where I come in🪄✨
