I have been a professional Massage Therapist since June of 2008 and I am very passionate about my work! I specialize in deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and Swedish massage. I also practice several other modalities including myofascial release, sports massage, neuromuscular therapy, geriatric massage and prenatal massage. I am well versed in specific treatments for headaches/migraines, sciatica, tennis and golfers elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, TMJ Syndrome and plantar fasciitis. I also love doing 90 minute and 2 hour sessions. Since I usually find areas of tension that clients are not aware of, longer sessions allow me to really focus on a client's physical issues and allow me to balance the body. Helping people manage their stress and pain is my purpose in life. I find that being a Massage Therapist is one of the most rewarding professions! Tiffany --
Since graduating from Health Sciences Institute (a division of Scot Lewis Schools), I have been practicing massage therapy for almost 13 years. For the past three and a half years, it has been my pleasure to work for Massage Haven. Massage Haven has a wonderful atmosphere that promotes health and well-being that I quite enjoy. I have a variety of techniques that I am trained in including trigger point, Swedish massage, deep tissue, esalen, prenatal, geriatric, and sports massage. I personally find precise, therapeutic upper body work most satisfying. I always strive to cater to the unique needs of every individual I see. Desiree --
I graduated from Everest Institute in 2013 and have since been practicing massage therapy at Massage Haven. I specialize in deep tissue but practice several other modalities as well. Some of these include manual lymphatic drainage, myofascial release, facilitated stretching, sports massage, geriatric and prenatal massage. I love being able to help people through this type of practice!

Could Manual Lymphatic Drainage be your missing link to vibrant health?

What if we told you that one of the best things you can do for your health is to turn your attention to a part of your body you’ve probably never even learned about: your lymphatic system.

Your spleen, thymus, and lymphatic vessels and nodes work together to move a fluid called lymph through your system. The purpose of lymph is to carry substances crucial to immune system function to wherever they’re needed, to transport waste products out of your tissues, to balance fluids throughout your body, and to take dietary fats out of your gastrointestinal tract and either use them for metabolism or store them.

If your body is overloaded with toxins, or if you’ve just been through an illness or a surgery, your lymphatic system may become sluggish in certain areas. This is where MLD Massage comes in, restoring the proper flow of lymph throughout your body.

Because it activates the parasympathetic nervous system and reduces stress hormone levels, an MLD massage is incredibly relaxing. The lymphatic system is located very close to the surface of the skin, so the practitioner only needs to use a light touch. The finger movements involved are gentle and rhythmic, mimicking the way the lymphatic system is designed to function naturally.

Restoration of balance within the lymphatic system has been shown to have beneficial effects for all kinds of health conditions, from eczema, chronic sinusitis, sprains, to fibromyalgia.

If you’re looking for ways to reduce symptoms of a chronic condition or to support your recovery from surgery, or if you feel like you need to try something new to optimize your wellbeing, Lymphatic Drainage Massage is a great modality to experience for yourself.

Did you know massage is perhaps one of the oldest healing traditions?

Many ancient peoples – including the Ancient Greeks, Egyptians, Chinese and Indians – were convinced of the therapeutic properties of massage and used it to treat a variety of ailments.

Massage therapy (including myotherapy) is the practice of kneading or manipulating a person’s muscles and other soft tissue in order to improve their wellbeing or health. It is a form of manual therapy that includes holding, moving, and applying pressure to the muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia.

The term ‘massage therapy’ is used to describe a wide variety of techniques that vary in the manner in which touch, pressure and the intensity of the treatment is applied. Come in and let’s discuss the best therapy modalities for you!!
