Today, we’re welcoming two incredible communities in St. Anthony into the Monarch family: St. Anthony Health & Rehabilitation and Chandler Place Senior Living.

This is a big moment for us. These are well-established, deeply respected communities that have been serving seniors in their area for years—and we’re honored to carry that legacy forward.

We’re bringing both buildings together under one unified campus as:

• 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐒𝐭. 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠

Together, they add more than 250 beds to our organization, making this one of the most significant expansions in Monarch’s history.

What matters most, though, is the people. We’re excited to welcome the residents, families, and team members who make these communities so special—and to continue building on the strong foundation already in place.

The mission hasn’t changed: creating places that feel like home, where people are genuinely cared for. Now we just get to do that for even more families.

Yesterday, members of our payroll and benefits departments hit the lanes for a great cause at the Pins for Paws – Scott Oachs Memorial Bowling Tournament. 🎳

Hosted at WOW!Zone, the event brought together teams from across the community to support the meaningful work of Animal Shelter/BENCHS. From helping pets find loving homes to reuniting lost animals with their families and promoting spay/neuter programs, BENCHS continues to make a lasting impact in the greater Mankato area.

As both a sponsor and participant, Team Monarch showed up ready to bowl, connect, and give back—and we’re proud to share that we raised $500 to support animals in need. 🧡🐾

Two games, great company, and a whole lot of purpose—events like this are a reminder of what community is all about.

Spring was in full bloom across Monarch communities this ! From vibrant floral prints to bright, cheerful colors, our teams showed up ready to celebrate our 🌷𝑺𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑩𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒎 𝑫𝒂𝒚🌼 theme in style.

Residents at Estates at Roseville, Estates at Rush City, and Waterview Shores embraced the season with flower-themed crafts, while Bayside Manor residents soaked up the sunshine outdoors. At Mala Strana, seed packets were shared as a reminder that even the smallest acts of care can grow into something beautiful. And at Oaklawn Rehabilitation Center, staff enjoyed a well-deserved treat with pies in honor of Health Information Professionals Week, which kicked off on Monday.

This is Polly. 🧡

Earlier this week we told you about a volunteer who shows up week after week, year after year — who remembers every birthday, who checks on every resident, who stays when staying is the hardest thing to do.

Polly Larson has been volunteering at The Emeralds at Grand Rapids since 2017. She makes handmade birthday cards for every single resident signed "From your Emerald Friends." She helps with Bingo, she comes to the parties, she asks the staff on every visit if anyone needs a little extra care.

She is a Certified Minister, and it shows — not in any formal way, but in the quiet, steady love she brings to every person she encounters. Residents adore her. Staff cherish her. Families are grateful beyond words for the peace she brings.

Polly has been a steady, joyful, deeply human presence at The Emeralds — and she represents something true about volunteers across all of our Monarch communities. If you saw yourself in Sunday's post, that was intentional. This work, and these relationships, are everywhere we look.

This National Volunteer Appreciation Week, we want to speak directly to the people who give their time to our residents.

You show up on Tuesdays. And Thursdays. And most Saturdays.

You make handmade birthday cards. You ask the staff if anyone needs a little extra attention. You help someone play Bingo and cheer like you mean it when they win.

And when a resident is going through the hardest thing — you don't leave. You hold their hand. You read to them. You make sure they are not alone.

You don't volunteer for the credit. But we want you to know: the residents feel it. The families feel it. The staff feel it. We all do.

To every volunteer across our Minnesota communities — thank you. Truly.
