On the morning of Tuesday, November 11th, at approximately 6:50 a.m., a small fire occurred in the auxiliary room located down the 100 hall of our skilled nursing facility. Our sprinkler system immediately activated upon detection, helping contain the fire to the area of origin.
Multiple local fire departments were dispatched and responded promptly. Out of an abundance of caution, residents in nearby rooms were safely transferred to another secure area of the campus while the situation was assessed.
By 7:30 a.m., Rotary Senior Living staffโalongside regional support teams, volunteers, and emergency respondersโbegan the cleanup process. Damage was thoroughly assessed, and a detailed cleaning of each room and common area is currently underway. We are pleased to share that the majority of displaced residents have safely returned to the skilled nursing facility.
We remain deeply grateful to the fire departments, emergency service teams, and community members whose quick action and care ensured everyoneโs safety.
Thanks to the dedication of our staff, the professionalism of our first responders, and the support of our community, damage was minimalโand most importantly, there were no injuries.
