Happy 1st Day of School Polk County Schools!

Welcome to Monday morning! Today is the first day of school for most children in the area. There are a few things to remember in the upcoming days:

Be aware of an increased volume of children on sidewalks and crossing roadways on their way to school.

Allow extra time to get to your destination as the number of buses on the road will increase significantly.

School buses are equipped with cameras; remember to stop in the appropriate place when your school bus is stopping to pick up or drop off children.

Here wishing our teachers, students, and families all the best for the 2025–2026 school year. Be safe, have fun, and learn every day!

Oh my gosh! What can we say? What an amazing morning! Thank you to The Living Water Boat Cruises for our tour of the Chain Of Lakes. Did you know that the Winter Haven Chain of Lakes has 14 different lakes connected by man-made canals? So many sights and sounds, the sun, the breeze, and great information about history and wildlife of the lakes. We will definitely make this an annual tradition! Amazing!

Today we had to say goodbye to our friend Oscar. Oscar has been with Polk Training Center for many, many years. He is leaving to try new opportunities. We will miss our friend dearly but we know he will do great things! We love and miss you Oscar but we wish you nothing but the absolute best!
