Today we had the opportunity to visit the brand new Winter Haven Recreation and Cultural Center. If you have not been there, please make it a point to go. It is absolutely beautiful! Indoors holds a basketball court, exercise gym, volleyball court, lockers, library, meeting and conference rooms, and a tech room. Outdoors includes a basketball court, playground, splash pad, pool, lockers, and a shaded picnic table area. The best part is it is handicap accessible so it allows our folks to enjoy the Center and all it has to offer. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and welcoming in addition to answering all of my questions. The Center is open to ALL communities so you do not have to live in Winter Haven to enjoy it. All participants are required to complete a Rec Pass Waiver prior to participating. Thank you to the City of Winter Haven for building such a beautiful and inclusive facility that we plan on enjoying as much as possible! P.S......the playground was their favorite part!!! Lol

We were lucky to receive a visit from WH Officer Holbrook. Our guys missed him and were so happy to see him. Officer Holbrook used to work for Polk Training Center years ago. Thank you Officer Holbrook for stopping by to see us. Be sure to come back soon! ❤️😊

Come out and see us for our Saturday Sale at Polk Training Center this Saturday April 25th from 8a-12p. We will have a variety of plants and some veggies available. All proceeds benefit our Adult Day Program for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This is a list of some of the plants that are available. We look forward to seeing you!

Polk Training Center celebrated its 40th Anniversary this year on April 15th. We want to thank all of our clients, families, caregivers, staff, Board members and customers as well as all who have been involved and supported us in some way over these 40 years.
