In recognition of National Law Enforcement Week, leadership from Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center had the opportunity to personally thank the dedicated men and women of the Eagle Pass Police Department for their service and commitment to our community.

Our CEO, Eladio, and the Chief of Police shared a moment of appreciation as we presented a small token of gratitude for everything law enforcement officers do each day to keep our community safe. Thank you for your dedication, sacrifice and continued service to Eagle Pass.

Continuing our National Hospital Week celebrations, we showed our spirit by wearing our favorite team jerseys! We also enjoyed a complimentary breakfast for our staff, and a big thank-you goes out to our Dietary team for preparing and serving it.

We are pleased to announce that Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center has earned an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit watchdog focused on patient safety. Leapfrog assigns an “A”, “B”, “C”, “D” or “F” grade to general hospitals across the country using evidence-based measures of patient safety, focused exclusively on errors, accidents, injuries and infections.

“Achieving a Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade of “A” in the Spring 2026 cycle is a tremendous honor and a reflection of our unwavering commitment to patient safety, clinical excellence and accountability. This national recognition underscores the dedication of our nurses and staff who work every day to ensure the highest standards of care for our community,” said Eladio Montalvo, Chief Executive Officer at Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center. “We are honored to be recognized among the safest hospitals in the nation and remain dedicated to delivering the highest standard of care to our community.”
