Happy Boss Day to our visionary leader —
William Worrell, CEO of United Medical Centers! 👏

Under his leadership since 2016, UMC has grown stronger in service, reach, and impact.

From his early start as a Radiologic Technologist to heading efforts expanding access to care across Maverick, Val Verde, and Kinney Counties, he’s guided UMC with passion and purpose.

A few highlights from his tenure:

Tech & integration push — Recently spearheaded UMC’s partnership with NextGen Healthcare to boost care coordination and patient access across border communities.

Community first mindset — He once traveled to a small clinic in Nicaragua to help with pharmacy operations and care delivery, showing how deeply he values underserved communities.

Steady in challenge — During times when community health centers faced funding risks, he’s led UMC with prudent measures to protect staff and services.

We will be here until 3pm with raffles, prizes, free screenings and a presentation from our guest speakers who are Breast Cancer Warriors and have decided to share their incredible stories of fortitude and strength! We are also excited to have one of our incredible providers Dr. Alberto Aguayo, MD speaking to us about preventative heath and wellness.

Today we had the joy of celebrating one of our newest UMC providers, Mrs. Jessica Silva, WHNP-BC! She has already demonstrated incredible dedication through the vital work she does every day at our Women’s Health Center, caring for the women of our community with compassion and commitment. 💙🩺

Though she only recently joined our team, her kindness, professionalism, and bright smile have already made such a positive impact on both patients and colleagues alike.
