As we take time to celebrate gratitude and togetherness, all UMC locations will be closed this Thursday and Friday in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

We hope you enjoy a safe and restful weekend with your loved ones.

🎗️ Candles for Life Walk-A-Thon 2025 🎗️

United Medical Centers was proud to join our community at this year’s Candles for Life Walk-A-Thon, coming together to honor survivors, remember loved ones, and stand in solidarity with those still fighting. 💕

The atmosphere was filled with hope, strength, and unity as local families, friends, and organizations walked side by side to help strike out cancer.

We’d like to give a special recognition to Mrs. Irene, LVN, our very own Certified Nurse Coordinator and cancer survivor. Irene is a tireless advocate for preventive care and a shining reminder of what strength, faith, and compassion look like in action. Her story continues to inspire not just our team, but the patients and families she serves every single day. 💖

We were very happy to have participated in Project Well, hosted by the Eagle Pass Public Health Coalition! This incredible event brought together local organizations, agencies, and community partners — all working toward a common goal: improving wellness and opportunity in Eagle Pass.

United Medical Centers extends its heartfelt condolences to our Family Nurse Practitioner, Penny Garza, and her family on the passing of her beloved husband, US Customs and Border Protection Officer Manuel “Manny” Garza.

Officer Garza is remembered by his family, friends & colleagues as a man of honor, dedication, and quiet strength — one who served his nation and loved ones with humility and compassion.

The UMC family extends their thoughts and prayers to Penny and the Garza family during this time of profound loss. May the love and support of those around them bring peace and comfort, and may Officer Garza rest in eternal peace.
