Saturday, we celebrate National Pet Day with some very special members of our extended clinic family.

Behind every speech therapist here is a pet who has sat beside us after long days, kept us company while planning sessions, and reminded us to slow down and enjoy the moment. They may not know what articulation goals or language milestones are, but they’re experts in connection, patience, unconditional love & support.

In many ways, that’s what we strive to bring into our work every day. A safe space, encouragement without judgment, and small moments that build confidence over time.

So today, we’re sharing a few of the furry friends who make our lives brighter. They inspire us more than they know.

So, what does “CCC-SLP” mean?

It stands for Certificate of Clinical Competence, a credential that shows a speech therapist has met national standards in education, training, and clinical skills.

To earn it, therapists complete a master’s degree, extensive clinical hours, pass a national exam, and finish a supervised fellowship.

Those three letters mean your therapist is fully trained, tested, and committed to providing high-quality care.
