You who I have worked with via shamanic energy medicine,
(accomplished also via music/performances, Reiki, bodywork (massage, other modalities), life coaching, my palliative hospital/home care work, followup (integration) work...

If I've taught you as a Reiki student/practitioner/master, if we've had experience together in such a capacity as friends or colleagues in psychedelic therapeutic journeys - I would be FOREVER GRATEFUL if you would write or video record a short testimonial of me as to my work, my character, and why I am PERFECT for a class that would certify me as a 'sitter' (coach) for THERAPEUTIC PSYCHEDELIC TREATMENT.
I estimate I've already done, in real world experiences, easily over 200 such healing sessions. And teaching? Ooh, hundreds of students...
I believe I would be an asset to this class. I LIVE this work, have devoted my life to it.

HOPEFUL, EXCITED. I feel SO strongly this is where I am to be: this class, this work, this advocacy come full circle. I am BEYOND EXCITED. Today I also feel woefully lacking in credentials familiar to the admin board who will make the decision as to my acceptance - except I've been busy with 30+ years of hands on real life work in this area, which has trained me well for this acceptance. I am DETERMINED to push through and be seen as such - hence thickening my application folder with testimonials as was suggested to me by a member of the team who decides my fate.

I must retrain out careers/income of 30+ years (music and bodywork) and I grieve. Hopefully the loss of precise proprioception, precision placement, and strength required to play music instruments, write songs, AND my $60k bodywork eduction loss is not permanent - but for 3 years so far no - although I've successfully worked to recover in so many ways body-mind that would boggle the mind:)

I applied for the scholarship this certification program offers, since my determination to 1) survive (the toxin poisoning), 2) reclaim me took every bit of me, including my resources, while I am a fiercely self sufficient woman who never asks for help - I am asking.

A short video, to the point, that speaks of my maturity, my education in action, all my related positive qualities, your experience with me, my character, integrity, dedication...whatever you've noticed and know of me you feel will help these folks to know - a POWERFUL voice/credential.

Healing arts work is the gray area that has allowed me to get my foot in the door for this class - which, in its inaugural class, had Indigenous shaman graduates. Indigenous shaman have credentials via testimonials. This certification organization is THE premier class and credentialed program in what will be a busy field in upcoming years. I believe acceptance in years to come will be more difficult. To be ready, via acceptance in this 2nd class offering seems crucial as to timing.

In the US and Canada, some psychedelics are already in use.
Psychedelics and 'sitting' (coaching) therapeutic use/sessions has been a long time in coming, and I've been at the forefront of advocating for it. Now I wish (no, I NEED) to be IN it to make the best difference...I honestly cannot imagine not being a part of this groundbreaking class/certification.

Hi FB Warriors, do I have a friend in Philadelphia?

My shaman teacher is coming to Philadelphia, and is seeking a home, preferably, to do a one night meditation and ceremony. It would therefore be blessed, acting as a mallocka. Th energy shift is amazing.

If you're familiar with meditation, or shamanism, or plant medicine, you'll know the place of such a sacred ceremony is best quiet, uncluttered - an open space that would fit maximum 15. Two bathrooms is ideal, one will do.

This is an INCREDIBLE opportunity for YOU, and perhaps there will be room for a few of your friends interested. You may participate as an exchange (pick this option!!), or have an exchange of money for the use of your big living room or private studio, or quiet private backyard... an inside space is preferable unless you're QUITE private in your location so as to have privacy as as sacred to the ceremony itself.

This Maestro is legit. I've been studying/practicing energy medicine since 1994. We have common knowledge - but he is a WEALTH of natural healing in incredible Traditional Indigenous ways (shaman are considered to be doctors in their tribes), LONG forgotten in our western world.

So, I get a lot of questions about Shamanism, 'my' shaman, how the process of our teacher - apprentice relationship goes...and when I tell him of the questions, his response is a firm answer, with zero ego: it is important to honor the medicine, the journey, and not to idolize the teacher, or the student. Distractions are easy, and will never help you find yourself. In fact, they will keep helping you lose yourself.

He considers me to be a teacher as well, because of the lineages, practices and medicine I bring to the table and ceremonies.
We've spoken of creating a better forum for answering such questions - so it'll be me shifting two websites to publish in order to help this along - because I believe in how this medicine is taught and honored, the body of knowledge he has and is, plant medicines, the importance of honoring how we westerners understand and compute such things, that serious Indigenous Shaman(s) do not self promote - but do promote the medicine...so, it'll be interesting to find that balance.
And, to have my brain re-Col how to make websites...yup, I've done about 6, and have about 11 social media pages, so...it's in there somewhere...stand by!

As we were rushing to get some errands accomplished yesterday, a sweet employee offered thus cartoon image of us. In the lower left, you see the real us. The cartoon is hilarious because it's what he finds acceptable in that it's not about image, looks, fancy clothes, ceremony for the teacher or student - but ceremony for the medicine - so he agrees I can share this.

Attention needed: by professional massage therapists (in Alaska and beyond.)
The governing body of colleagues in any health profession handed over to the state commerce department only - so folks totally ignorant of the industry, its issues - while also dissolving the existing peer led support (Board of Directors in this case):
bad, dangerous idea.

Insert this happening to your profession here, as well as your jaw dropping, and a good laugh at the hilarity that might ensue.
In this case, it's health, and health professionals being replaced by non professionals with zero knowledge, or even dangerous ignorance of the industry. [insert shudder here]

Strongly disapprove of Executive Order 127. It seeks to dissolve the existing State Board of Directors comprised of Massage Therapists.

ALL professional complementary health professions have been subject to government bodies absolutely unqualified to be in charge of your health have been quietly dissolving professional peer boards, and these health care professions have suffered, as have consumers - greatly.

When Reiki and peer boards were recently attacked as such - the professional community fought back. Result: Peer Boards were improved, not dissolved. Consumer win!

Alaska has lost 40% of its acupuncturists. Their licensure is run by the state commerce department. There is a local peer led support group - but no state run peer support - just commerce. There are some horrifying injustices happening as a result.

Alaskans are losing MANY health care professionals for this same set of actions/reasons. Stop this quiet, profound loss of health care professionals not given support or choice - because you Dear Consumer, suffer easily as much as these professionals do - from actions taken without your permission, knowledge, or rights that directly affect your professional health care options.

Feeling like this page never really 'launched' ...a commentary on how busy daily life was, is, can be, especially for we in teaching roles, or with an active client base, or one specific to the skillsets Reiki grows as unique signatures and languages with use, and over some time of use.
Yet STILL, we find time to do Reiki. We (with 1st, 2nd Degree Reiki, or as masters), encourage others to seek it in a session, or in a workshop comfortable classroom virtual and live - to learn for one's self, this amazing source of comfort and real aid.

Reiki: for self first, then others: as a spiritual way of balance, as a natural healing system, and as an allopathic and Indigenous adjunct.

It's WHERE we find our still-ness - which is where we find our center, our power, energy, answers to questions, and certainly, as an aid for others finding health and spiritual balances in their own lives.

So as admin, (Colleen Coadic, Reiki rockSTAR), I shall begin posting Reiki success and teaching stories - those as I've experienced as a teacher (practitioner master of 29 years) - and others' successes....often my own students, masters I have trained, and in support of all disciplines with which I have a Reiki relationship with - beginning with my own - Traditional Usui Reiki: Usui Shiki Ryoho.
In this way, a garden of Reiki, hibernating in Alaska's winter, can be seeded; to grow a bountiful feast of Reiki for whomever needs Reiki, or knowledge of Reiki, and seeks it here - anytime.
I shall include reputable masters, classes, whatever seeds a magnificent, bright, garden of sustenance.

It's that time of year. Reiki masters all over Alaska are announcing upcoming class schedules. Usui Reiki master-Teacher Colleen Coadic is on teaching hiatus having begun Shamanic studies honoring the Costa Rican lineages of healers, as well as Egyptian schools of teachers who have been, traditionally, and in Indigenous cultures, still are - the respected doctors, the healing leaders, in Plant Medicine Natural Healing.
