Dr. Christian Putegnat believes great dental care starts with helping patients feel comfortable,
heard, and genuinely cared for. He understands that visiting the dentist can feel stressful for
many people and is committed to creating a calm, welcoming environment where patients feel at
ease and confident in their care.
Originally from Hawai‘i, Dr. Putegnat and his wife always knew they wanted to raise their
family in the Treasure Valley. Today they are grateful to call this community home as they raise
their four young children. He values the relationships that come with practicing in a close-knit
community and considers it a privilege to care for families in the area.
Before becoming a dentist, Dr. Putegnat worked as a mechanical engineer. While he enjoyed the
precision and problem-solving involved in engineering, he felt drawn to a career where he could connect more personally with people and make a meaningful difference in their lives. Dentistry
proved to be the perfect fit—blending the attention to detail of engineering with the opportunity
to help patients improve their health and regain the confidence to smile.
Dr. Putegnat earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Midwestern University College
of Dental Medicine in Glendale, Arizona, after completing his Bachelor of Science in
Mechanical Engineering at Brigham Young University. He is passionate about lifelong learning
and regularly pursues advanced training so he can provide patients with the most modern
techniques and comfortable treatment options available.
Dr. Putegnat believes every patient deserves to be treated like family. He takes time to listen
carefully and understand each person’s goals and concerns so they can feel confident in their
care. Few things are more rewarding to him than seeing a patient leave the office smiling when
they were nervous to walk in.He believes everyone deserves the health and confidence that come with a great smile—and he loves helping patients discover that it truly is their Time to Smile.
Outside the office, Dr. Putegnat’s favorite role is being a husband and father. He and his wife
enjoy spending time with their four children and staying active outdoors. Whether it’s running,
hiking, surfing, or exploring together as a family, they love making the most of every adventure.
