A bill will have (hopefully) it's last vote next Tuesday in the House Insurance Committee.
This bill will create a DOULA BOARD. WE do not need DOULAS to be under a board. The Midwives in TN were smart enough to know a BOARD costs money. We do not have a BOARD. We have a Council.

Doulas do not offer clinical care and do not need to be regulated.

Kimberly Williams Joins Tender Beginnings

With more than 20 years of dedicated experience in maternal health, I have spent my career supporting families through some of the most transformative moments of their lives. I worked 11 years in Labor & Delivery, where I gained deep clinical insight and a passion for empowering expectant parents. For the past four years, I’ve served as a birth doula and childbirth educator, providing evidence-based guidance, compassionate care, and hands-on support throughout pregnancy, birth, and the early postpartum period.

I’m excited to be a part of the Tender Beginnings Birth team as an office assistant and midwife assistant, where I continue to combine my experience, passion, and love for serving growing families.

We’re looking for a birth assistant to join us this summer—from May 15th through September 15th. Ideally, the right person would begin attending births with us in April to become comfortable with our procedures and flow.

Once trained, the assistant would be on call from 8:00 AM Tuesday to 8:00 AM Sunday each week.
