Starting my third year as Montgomery County Coroner and feeling deeply grateful.

Two years in, the mission remains the same: serve with compassion, lead with integrity, and focus on prevention. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together- expanding community education, strengthening partnerships, and maintaining a steadfast commitment to dignity for every life and every family.

As we move into 2026, I’m excited to deepen our work in heart health, substance use prevention, su***de prevention, and community engagement.

Honored to share that I was recently nominated and confirmed to serve on the Your Way Home Continuum of Care Governing Board.

Your Way Home’s mission is one I care about deeply: ensuring that everyone who lives, works, learns, and invests in Montgomery County, PA has the opportunity to live in an affordable home and thrive in a healthy community. Housing is more than a roof over someone’s head. It is a foundation for safety, stability, and well-being.

As Montgomery County Coroner and a physician, I see how housing and health are deeply connected. I’m grateful for the chance to bring the public-health perspective to this important work.

Had a great time at the Upper Moreland Township High School career fair last week.

It’s not every day students get to meet a coroner, so I always enjoy the mix of curiosity, surprise, and thoughtful questions.

I talked with students about what the job really involves: science, investigation, compassion, and a commitment to helping families find answers during some of their hardest moments.

It’s meaningful work, and I’m always glad to help the next generation explore the many ways they can serve their community.

Last week, I had the pleasure of welcoming a group of students from Pickering Technical High School in the Criminal Justice and Political Science program to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.

They toured our facility, met with members of our team, and learned about the important work that goes into medicolegal death investigations.

I am always grateful for opportunities to educate the next generation of public‑service professionals and to give them a behind‑the‑scenes look at how our office supports the community.

My team and I had the privilege of delivering holiday gifts for two adopted families through Laurel House. We’re honored to support survivors of domestic violence and their loved ones right here in our community.

This season of giving reminds us how important it is for every family to feel seen, supported, and cared for. My hope is that these gifts bring comfort, joy, and a little extra brightness to their holidays.

As we close out the year, I’m grateful for the opportunity to reflect on the meaningful work and progress we’ve achieved together in 2025. This year brought important accomplishments for the Coroner’s Office - each one grounded in our mission to serve with dignity, compassion, and excellence. Our team has continued to strengthen operations, expand community outreach, and build partnerships that support public health and safety. We proudly submitted multiple grant applications aimed at enhancing our office’s capabilities, improving services for families, and ensuring we meet the growing needs of the Montgomery County community.

We also hosted valuable educational and awareness events throughout the year, deepening our connections across the county and reinforcing our commitment to prevention, advocacy, and community engagement. As we look ahead to 2026, I am inspired by the dedication of our exceptional team, whose passion and professionalism continue to elevate our work every day. With upcoming events already in motion and new initiatives on the horizon, I am confident that the year ahead will bring continued growth, innovation, and impact.
