More great discussions with the Montgomery County, PA community!

Thank you to those who stopped by and asked questions at Lansdale Public Library.

As Montgomery County Coroner prevention is a big part of my mission, and one of the best ways to protect your body is through good nutrition. Our community is stronger when we take care of ourselves and each other.

Thank you Montgomery County, PA for coming out to Abington Township Public Library last Thursday!

I had so many thoughtful conversations around nutrition and I appreciate how open everyone was to asking questions. As Montgomery County Coroner, having these conversations gives me a clearer picture of where support is needed and how I can continue sharing helpful information in the future.

It was great to welcome Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services Director Dr. Patricia McKernan to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office. It was a pleasure giving her a tour of our operations and sharing the hard work our team does every day.

Our office partners frequently with HHS, so we had a great conversation about new ways we can keep building on that partnership. When our offices work together, we can build a stronger, healthier Montgomery County, PA community.

Honored to speak at the Black History Month celebration hosted by the Montgomery County, PA Black History Committee. The performances, reflections, and recognitions were powerful reminders of the strength and brilliance of Black leadership in our community.

As the first Black female Montgomery County Coroner, I carry the importance of representation with me every day. I’m committed to using my voice, my position, and my platform to serve with integrity, compassion, and purpose. It was a great celebration and an even greater reminder of the work we continue to do together.

On this second-to-last day of Black History Month, I’ve been reflecting on the shoulders I stand on and the responsibility I carry forward.

As the first Black woman elected as Montgomery County Coroner, this role is not just historic; it is deeply personal. It represents progress, perseverance, and purpose.

But more than anything, it is a sacred trust.

Every day, I am reminded that my duty is first to the decedent, to ensure dignity, accuracy, and truth. And equally to their families, who deserve honesty, transparency, and compassion during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

I take this responsibility seriously. I lead with integrity. I am committed to being honest, transparent, and ethical in every decision. I advocate fiercely for those who no longer have a voice, and for the dedicated team who serves alongside me.

Black history is being made every day, not just in headlines, but in how we serve, how we lead, and how we show up for our communities.

Honored to do this work. Committed to doing it right.
