Hosted a successful “Wills, Deeds, and Peace of Mind” event at the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office, bringing together community members to learn about the importance of preparing for the future with care and intention.

I am grateful to our Register of Wills, Tina Lawson Esq. and Jeanne Sorg, Montgomery County Recorder of Deeds, for joining us and sharing their expertise. Their presentations helped others understand key processes and empowered attendees to make informed decisions for themselves and their families.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this event meaningful for our community!

Hello Montgomery County, PA!

𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗗𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗩𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵. 💜

Last week I had the privilege of attending an event celebrating 20 years of Laurel House’s Domestic Abuse Response Team (DART). Hearing how DART has transformed lives and empowered survivors to speak up was deeply inspiring. It was a powerful reminder of the impact that advocacy, empathy, and collaboration can have in our community.

In honor of this important month, the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office is proud to host “𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵” a Domestic Violence Awareness event dedicated to continuing the conversation and amplifying voices that need to be heard.

Join us as we hear powerful stories from:
- A DV survivor, Roberta Smith
- Lower Providence Police Chief Michael Jackson
- Prothonotary Noah Marlier
- Cortney Marengo, Director of Community Outreach at Laurel House

Each speaker brings a unique perspective on how we can work together to prevent abuse and support those affected.

Last week, I had the honor of introducing our seminar, “Fire, Fatality, and Forensics”, on fire-related deaths at the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office, the third installment in our on-going lecture series. We welcomed first responders, coroners, and other professionals across Pennsylvania for a powerful and informative session. Your participation helps strengthen our partnership and our shared mission to help our communities.

Thank you to Deputy Coroner Joseph Vizzarri, Forensic Pathologist Dr. Gregory McDonald, and Forensic Anthropologist Anna Delaney who shared their expertise and insight; your contributions made this seminar truly impactful.

Also, thank you also to Valor Technical Cleaning and Coffee Closet with Barista Jake for providing lunch and delicious drinks for our attendees.

September 15th through October 15th is Hispanic Heritage Month. Last week, I was happy to attend the Hispanic Heritage Month panel hosted by Nelly Jiménez-Arévalo, the Director of Immigrant Affairs.

I was so proud to have one of my team members from the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office, Tahbatha Martinez, share her culture, stories, and experiences. It was great to see her represent and celebrate her heritage with such passion.

I am glad to see Montgomery County, PA recognize the rich diversity of our staff and community and celebrate different cultures.

These past two days I had the honor of participating in two deeply meaningful events focused on Veteran Su***de Prevention. I spoke at the Witting Tree Ceremony, where we remembered those we’ve lost and reaffirmed our commitment to supporting our veterans. I also attended the flag raising ceremony held in recognition of Veteran Su***de Prevention Week where I heard our veteran legislators speak on their experiences.

Thank you to Rep. Joe Webster and our Montgomery County, PA Commissioners for declaring September 25th to October 2nd as Veteran Su***de Prevention Week in Pennsylvania, a powerful step toward raising awareness and driving change.

Let’s keep showing up, speaking out, and supporting those who’ve served. 🇺🇸🕊️
