Bev's Sewing Machine Repair

Bev's Sewing Machine Repair Right now I am not working on sewing machines. I am taking care of my Mother who is on Home Dialysis. I love sewing machines. Sergers:
$112.50 for a full service.

I have been collecting (mostly vintage) sewing machines for around 20 years. I started breaking ‘em down to see why they wouldn’t work soon after I started collecting ‘em. Usually all that was wrong was that they were dirty. In the fall of 2019 I took a class on how to repair sewing machines. Talk about game changer. :) It is amazing all that I can do now. I even love the modern machines now. Now, I can’t fix something that is wrong w/a computer in a machine but I can fix most of what is mechanically wrong w/your sewing machine. I’d love to work on your sewing machine! I am no longer accepting Vking/Huskvarna Machines. My prices are:
Sewing machines:
$112.50 for a full service. This includes all adjustments, cleaning, greasing, & oiling. Parts:
Are what I pay for ‘em plus $1.00 a minute for installation. Now I want to point out I charge for how long it should take me to install anything not how long it takes me as I am slow. Also if there is nothing to install I naturally don’t charge any installation charges. Most parts shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes. Parts are what I pay for ‘em plus $1:00 a minute for installation. Embroidery machines
$160.00 for a full service. Parts are what I pay for ‘em plus $1.00 a minute for installation. Slip resistance pads to the bottom of your foot controller. I can glue a slip resistant pad to the bottom of your foot controller for $5. Now I know that ya can do this yourself but I do have the pad & the glue. I’ll do it for ya for $5. I am now instituting a 90 day guarantee. If your machine doesn’t work for ya I’ll do my best to get it running or give ya your $ back. After 90 days I am gonna deleat the pictures I took while working on your machine so would have to start over. By that time you should know if your machine is working after all.

I am still taking care of my mother. She is on home dialysis now. My daughter & I are administering it. It is hard. I know that in time it will become natural but for now it takes a lotta time to set it up, administer it & clean it all up. It is 5 days a week. So for a while I am not taking in any machines. I do hope to get to the few machine that I have right now soon.
OH, I am still dealing w/hives.

My Mother is in the hospital again & I am still dealing w.hives

09/19/2023

I am sorry that I haven't let ya'll know why I have been outta pocket. My Mama has been in the hospital twice. This last time it was w/Pulmonary Edema (fluid in the lungs) & stress Myopathy (A stress related heart event.) The first time she had a TIA. They are gonna start dialysis as that will also pump fluid off of her body.
OH I'm still dealing w/hives but they aren't near as bad at the moment. I have worked o a very few machines. I do have one ready & one nearly ready but I can only do a li'ls bit at a time. Please be patient w/me.

08/01/2023

OK, The hives are still suppressed. I am weaning myself off of the meds. I still don't trust myself to drive so I won't be going to Early to pick up & drop off machines.

07/17/2023

I know that I was supposed to take & pick up machines but I am covered in hives. I saw the Dr & he has put me on steroids & uped all my antihistamines including Benadryl. Benadryl makes me soooo very sleepy. I don't trust myself to work on machines nor to drive. I don't want to mess up a machine. I am hoping that my hives go away (or at last I get used to the Benadryl) so I can come on Aug 3.

I do hope that everyone has had a good New Year's Day . I also hope that this next year is better for everyone.
As this year gets started I wanted to tell ya'll that I am having to raise my prices. The price of gas & the price of my supplies have risen enough that I need to do this. 09/02/2022

I am gonna be dropping off & picking up machines on Wed the 7th at the Quilter's Hideout in Early. Located at 413 Garmon Dr. I'll be there around 1:00. You can drop off your sewing machine, serger, or single needle embroidery machine this weekend or on Wed if ya aren't gonna be able to meet me there at that time.

I have been thinking that every once in a while I can post pictures of some of the machines after I deliver 'em. This is...

This is a Singer 15-90. It needed a good service & the light needed to be rewired. I love how it sews now. I do hope that the owner enjoys sewing w/it as much as I did getting it up & running.

08/14/2022

I am doing enough better that I will be picking up machines on Wed 17th in Early at the Quilter's Hideout.

07/25/2022

I am getting better faster this round of Covid. I am able to do stuff for a couple of hours each morning. :) I actually went out to my workbench & worked on the machine that is on it. I think it is nearly done. :)

07/20/2022

I did go to the Dr yesterday & I do have a secondary infection. My Asthma is acting up also. I came home w/4 more meds. I did wake up feeling a better this morning but I'm ready for a nap right now.

07/19/2022

I'm not gonna be going to the Quilter's Hideout on the 19th. I am getting better faster than I did the last time I had Covid. But I am still not well. I am worried that I might might have a secondary infection. I will see the Dr in the morning.

07/10/2022

Mike & I have Covid again. This is gonna slow me down on fixing the machines I have. As long as I am able I will go out to my workshop & work a bit everyday. I will keep ya'll updated.
