Since then, the Foundation has generated more than $10 million dollars from generous individuals and corporations. With changes in health care sweeping the nation—and affecting our hospital right here in Easley-private support is increasingly critical for Baptist Easley Hospital.

The Baptist Easley Foundation presented scholarships to 3 local students pursuing careers in healthcare. Scholarships are given each year and are provided by the Roddey E. Gettys III Scholarship that was begun to honor his 44 years of service to Baptist Easley Hospital upon his retirement. Prisma Health remains committed to honoring those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. At Baptist Easley Hospital, the Veterans American Flag Program continues this tradition by presenting American flags to patients on comfort care who are also veterans. Recently, Prisma Health CEO and President Mark O’Halla attended a special ceremony in which the American flag was respectfully placed over the bed of a veteran receiving comfort care. This meaningful gesture reflects Prisma Health’s deep appreciation for those who have served and their lasting contributions to our nation.
