Happy World Breastfeeding Week! 💕
We see so many amazing moms and babies in my office, I wanted to share some thoughts on this special week.
First and foremost - feeding your baby and taking care of yourself is what matters most. Every family’s journey looks different, and that’s completely okay! There’s no one “right” way to do this.
I’ll be honest - breastfeeding was HARD for me. But I was so fortunate to have incredible support along the way. My midwife .midwifery , amazing IBCLCs , women who donated milk while I got my supply up, and who helped with oral ties - they all made such a difference. I know not every family has access to this kind of support or even knows these resources exist.
Breastfeeding is truly beautiful and difficult all at the same time. It’s this incredible bond and nourishment, but it can also be exhausting, overwhelming, and challenging in ways you never expected.
Breastfeeding is something to be celebrated, but know that if you’re struggling, you’re not alone.
To all the moms out there - you’re doing an amazing job, whatever your feeding story looks like!
