Residents at Holiday Maple Downs enjoyed a beautiful day on a mile cruise down the Erie Canal. "My dad had such a great time," shares Lisa, the daughter of one of the residents. "He can't stop talking about it!"

After taking in the scenic views, they had a picnic lunch together and talked about all they saw. "Dad was so happy he went," Lisa adds. "He couldn't believe all he learned!!

Holiday Edgewood Downs is honored to have residents like John and Rod – two proud World War II veterans whose stories remind us of the resilience and sacrifice of their generation.

Rod, a 101-year-old Air Force veteran, served as an aircraft welder, repairing planes. John, a 100-year-old Marine veteran, trained in San Diego and served in Saipan.

Today, these remarkable men call Edgewood Downs home, where their friendship and 200+ years of wisdom continue to inspire us all.

Residents of Holiday Manor at Oakridge took a trip back to Pennsylvania's past, visiting the Fort Hunter Mansion and Park. The beautiful site served as a war fort, a hub for frontier commerce and a private estate.

"It was beautiful weather, and we had a wonderful time," shares Beth, the community's Engage Life Director.

We love seeing residents explore the history in their own backyard.

Did you know October is dedicated to celebrating the accomplishments of Polish Americans in culture, science, art and more?

Our Taste Poland event featured classic Central European flavors, including pierogies with caramelized onions, kielbasa with cucumber salad, potatoes and sauerkraut, and sernik, traditional Polish cheesecake.

We can't wait to see – and taste – the cuisine from our destination next month!

From writing music to combat bullying in schools to clowning around the world, Mo has always found ways to bring people together – and that hasn’t stopped since moving to Holiday Hidden Lakes.

Mo leads twice-monthly music sessions during the community's ice cream socials, sharing her love of guitar, banjo and percussion with neighbors and friends. She also volunteers with her grandson and fellow residents at the local food share, showing that giving back and spreading joy is possible in every season of life.

We’re so grateful to have Mo, a true bringer of joy, as part of our Holiday by Atria family!

Holiday Country Squire recently celebrated Moses' 75th birthday. From childhood days of baseball to a lifelong passion for working on cars and trucks and raising three children, Moses has built a life full of joy.

One of his proudest milestones is his 15 years of sobriety – a testament to his strength. Moses inspires his community daily with his faith and positivity.

Meet Stanley and her feline friend Nick, who live at Holiday Hartland Hills. Nick is a 4-year-old Siamese cat. Stanley rescued him from a local humane society 3 years ago. "He's very affectionate and loves to be held," shares Stanley.

We know that pets can make the best of friends, and love learning about our four-legged residents and their owners.
