⛴️ Last month, some of our Bristol Village residents got to spend time on the water as they took a boat tour of the Buffalo River, originating at Canalside in Buffalo. Despite the rain, the residents enjoyed looking at all of the sites, which included the vast amount of grain elevators, industrial buildings, naval ships, tugboats and the Edward M. Cotter, a fireboat renowned for being the oldest fireboat in the world. They heard a lot of history, interesting facts and stories pertaining to Buffalo and its booming industrial period, which was spurred on with the opening of the Erie Canal in 1825. In addition to the history, residents got to see modern developments, such as the Riverworks complex, and how the waterway is currently being rehabilitated.

It was a fun day learning about our fascinating city with such a rich history! 🦬

🎉🎂 Happy 100th Birthday to Irene Kris! 🎂🎉

On July 4, one of our wonderful residents, Irene Kris, celebrated an incredible milestone — 100 years young! 🇺🇸✨

Irene was a nurse for many years at Roswell Park and served in the Army through the Army Nurse Corps during World War II. She has 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Be sure to wish Irene a Happy 100th if you see her at the facility! 🎈💐
