Williamsville SEPTSA brings together families of students with special education or gifted programming needs who attend schools and/or live within Williamsville Central School District (WCSD), thereby creating a diverse membership with shared goals. SEPTSA creates support networks for families with similar circumstances, advocates for the children we represent, and sponsors workshops and presentations on topics to help members better advocate for their children as well as increase their understanding of various disabilities and diagnoses.

UB researchers are testing an Al tool that gives parents feedback on shared storybook reading to boost children's communication. Families read with their child at home, upload 2-3 short videos per week for approximately 3-4 months and receive personalized coaching.
