Like so many others in our community, there are many families and individuals served at The ROC who are facing not receiving their SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits in November. In response, and in recognition that our local food pantry partners will be overwhelmed with our community's needs, The ROC will be offering eligible ROC families supplemental food items.

Any donations of food items, gift cards to local grocery stores, or monetary support are greatly appreciated! We also welcome non-food items for Sarah's Pantry - things like shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, cleaning supplies, toilet paper, etc. Please drop off items during our open hours (8am-5pm M,W,F and 8am-7pm T,Th).

At this time, The ROC is only able to provide this assistance to families currently receiving services from us. When SNAP benefits are restored, we will pass along remaining food items to our local food pantry partners.

🚨 A State of Emergency has been issued after the Trump administration announced plans to cut off food assistance for nearly 3 million New Yorkers starting November 1. In response, New York is committing $65 million to provide emergency meals and support food banks statewide.

If you or someone you know needs food assistance, call 211 or visit 211nys.org to find local food pantries and resources in your area. See below for additional resources.πŸ’™

The ROC team is thrilled to share that ROCtober 2025 raised nearly $50,000 in support of our mission - funds that will directly support addressing the needs of our neighbors living in rural poverty as they work toward self-sufficiency. Thank you to everyone who donated, sponsored, volunteered, attended, and supported ROCtober - your generosity is overwhelming (in a very good way!)
A special thank you to Elm Street Bakery for once again hosting ROCtober - acting as host, caterer, and day-of support in what we can only describe as a true display of community spirit. We are so thankful for their generosity and for the staff members who volunteered their time to assist with ROCtober. Thank you!
