Station upgrade!
Thank you to East Berlin Borough for their donation of $60,000 for station improvements. With that money we were able to get a much needed upgrade to our 40 year old apparatus bay floor at the East Berlin station. Thank you to Waggner construction for doing this project for us and doing a great job! This couple week project turned our old floor that we would slip and fall on into a nice, colorful, textured floor that we can be proud of and hopefully not fall anymore. We also added a trench drain that runs almost the full length of the floor in the front of the bay and added a new drain with a clean out in the back of the bay. All the dirt, grime, and salt would clog up our old drains and leave water puddled on the station floor. Now will be able to easily clean out our drains. Also the bay floor where our antique “Grandma” is kept was also redone. The money that was donated will be used for these floor upgrades and additional upgrades and repairs that the station needs. Effective 7am tomorrow morning Paradise Township Emergency Services (York County Station 110) will be consolidated into Company 32. Station 110 will then become Station 32-3. Station 32-3 will house Engine 32-3, Brush 32-3, Utility 32-3, and UTV 32. We hope to increase volunteerism and personnel in the township.
