12/12/25. Units responded to a vehicle fire on Markle run Road.  Engine 32-1 arrived to find a pick up truck fully involved. Tanker 32-1 also responded and then handled a fire alarm in the Borough. 5 personnel responded.

Delayed post. 12/2/25. Units were dispatched for a vehicle fire at the gas pumps at Weis Markets. units arrived on scene and found a smoldering engine compartment fire that was controlled by fire extinguishers at Weis. Vehicle was also pushed away from the pumps prior to our arrival. Engines 32-1, 2, and 3 responded, plus tanker 32-1. 14 personnel responded.

Santa Clause Is coming to East Berlin this Saturday, 12/13 beginning at 9am. Have the kiddos outside waving to Santa as he goes by! Please be sure to remain on sidewalks and driveways so everyone can stay safe!

Santa’s Route—
Leaving the station. left into abbotstown street. left onto beaver street. right onto branch circle. straight onto upland drive. left onto hillside. right onto jacob street. left onto north ave. right onto front street. right onto garden lane. right onto front street. left onto Harrisburg street. right onto west king street. right onto 6th street, proceed past park on North Ave and towards community center. Right onto 4th street. Crossover king street and then left onto locust street. Will end at fire station

At 10:06 last night United Hook & Ladder Company #33, Engine 32-2 and EMS were dispatched to a MVA with rollover. Chief 53 came upon the accident and called it into 911. The driver was confined in the truck on its side, Chief 53 use ratchet straps found on scene to stabilize the vehicle and gain patient access to check on his condition. Engine 33-2 arrived and started more stabilization. Engine 32-2 arrived with 6 personnel, Assisted finishing the stabilization and worked with E33-2 to extricate the patient. The roof was flapped and the patient was flown to york hospital. HURST Jaws of Life

Station upgrade!
Thank you to East Berlin Borough for their donation of $60,000 for station improvements. With that money we were able to get a much needed upgrade to our 40 year old apparatus bay floor at the East Berlin station. Thank you to Waggner construction for doing this project for us and doing a great job! This couple week project turned our old floor that we would slip and fall on into a nice, colorful, textured floor that we can be proud of and hopefully not fall anymore. We also added a trench drain that runs almost the full length of the floor in the front of the bay and added a new drain with a clean out in the back of the bay. All the dirt, grime, and salt would clog up our old drains and leave water puddled on the station floor. Now will be able to easily clean out our drains. Also the bay floor where our antique “Grandma” is kept was also redone. The money that was donated will be used for these floor upgrades and additional upgrades and repairs that the station needs.
