Scientific Nutrition, LLC - Hair Analysis Hair Mineral Analysis- Mineral Balancing and Detox of heavy metal toxicity at the cellular level. I would fall asleep sitting straight up in a kitchen chair.

I am a proud mother of 4 beautiful daughters but it took a toll on my body. I didn't realize just how much until I was unable to stay awake for more than 6 hours a day while caring for them. Sugar and caffeine pushed me through the days doing even more damage to my already depleted adrenals and empty electrolytes. After countless medical appointments with multiple types of doctors and extensive testing they were unable to give me answers and simply dismissed me. I was still exhausted and could literally feel myself dying. I had no where else to turn. Thankfully I found Hair Analysis through Marcia Gutkowski, Ph.D!! She literally saved my life. Two weeks after starting my program my husband called her to thank her for giving him his wife back!! Since 2011 I've been blessed and privileged to work with Dr. Larry Wilson. Due to his knowledge and guidance I've been able to help so many on their journey to better health. This is a process toward balancing and correcting our imbalances while ridding ourselves of toxins that our body has stuffed as a protective defense mechanism. We don't force correction, we supply to the necessary tools to help the body purge and rebuild at it's own pace. We can see the improvements mentally, emotionally, physically, symptomatically and scientifically through our tests. It is not a quick fix bandage. We are working with you to work on the possible cause, not the symptoms alone. Are you ready to start your journey with me?

✅ Fatty Fish (Salmon, Sardines, Mackerel) - Rich in omega-3 fatty acids (EPA & DHA), fatty fish reduce the production of pro-inflammatory compounds. They also support hormone balance and improve insulin sensitivity—key for women with PCOS.

✅ Leafy Greens (Spinach, Kale, Swiss Chard) - Packed with antioxidants and magnesium, leafy greens help neutralize free radicals, lower stress on the body, and ease inflammation linked to hormonal imbalance.

✅ Berries (Blueberries, Raspberries, Strawberries) - Loaded with anthocyanins (powerful antioxidants), berries reduce oxidative stress and protect cells from inflammation. Plus, their natural fiber helps regulate blood sugar.

✅ Turmeric - Contains curcumin, a compound shown to block inflammatory pathways in the body. Best absorbed with black pepper and a source of healthy fat.

✅ Olive Oil - Contains oleocanthal, which has similar anti-inflammatory effects as ibuprofen—without the side effects.

✅ Nuts & Seeds (Almonds, Walnuts, Flax, Chia) - Provide healthy fats, magnesium, and fiber, all of which help calm inflammation, support hormone production, and stabilize blood sugar levels.

✅ Green Tea - Rich in EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate), green tea is one of the most powerful natural anti-inflammatory beverages. It also boosts metabolism and supports detoxification.

Your body has an incredible ability to heal itself when given the right tools—and food is one of the most powerful. 🌿

Your body’s sodium-to-potassium (Na/K) balance is more than just minerals—it’s a key marker of how well your adrenals handle stress.

🔹 Sodium = adrenal activity (how much stress your body is under)
🔹 Potassium = cellular response (energy, thyroid, and insulin sensitivity)
⚖️ Na/K ratio = stress resilience vs. burnout

When this balance is off, women with PCOS may experience:

👉 Irregular or absent cycles

👉 Worsening insulin resistance

👉 Fatigue and burnout

👉 Heightened inflammation and anxiety

✨ Supporting sodium and potassium balance can help calm stress, steady hormones, and restore energy.

If you’ve been struggling with irregular cycles, stubborn PMS, or PCOS symptoms, it may not just be “hormones”—your minerals could be out of balance.

💇‍♀️ That’s where Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) comes in. It helps reveal your magnesium levels and how it interacts with calcium, sodium, and potassium—giving the full picture of your hormonal health.

💬 Drop a “MAGNESIUM” in the comments if you’d like me to share foods and tips to help restore balance naturally. Or DM me to learn how HTMA can give you answers you won’t find in a standard blood test.

✨ Did you know zinc plays a powerful role in your ovarian health—but it’s one of the most common deficiencies in women with PCOS?

Zinc is essential for:

✅ Supporting ovulation and ovarian function

✅ Regulating hormones like insulin and testosterone

✅ Promoting healthy skin and reducing acne

But here’s the problem—women with PCOS often burn through zinc faster due to chronic stress, blood sugar imbalances, and inflammation. This leaves the body depleted, making symptoms worse.

That’s where Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) comes in. Unlike blood work, HTMA gives a deeper look at your long-term zinc status, helping uncover deficiencies and guide personalized nutrition.

If you’ve been struggling with PCOS symptoms, checking your zinc levels might be the missing piece.

📩 DM me to learn how HTMA can help uncover what your body really needs.

Living with PCOS can feel like a constant fight with your own body.

The irregular cycles, the fatigue, the emotional ups and downs—it’s exhausting. But what many women don’t realize is that behind the hormone imbalance, there’s often a mineral imbalance quietly making things worse.

💡 One of the most overlooked minerals in PCOS is magnesium.
Magnesium plays a role in over 300 processes in the body—including blood sugar regulation, stress response, and hormone production. For women with PCOS, low magnesium can show up as:

Irregular or painful cycles

Intense sugar cravings

Anxiety or irritability

Trouble sleeping

Worsening PMS symptoms

When your magnesium is out of balance, your hormones struggle to find balance too. That’s why restoring magnesium isn’t just about “feeling calmer”—it’s about giving your body the foundation it needs to regulate cycles, ovulate regularly, and feel more like you again.

This is where Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) comes in. Instead of guessing, HTMA lets us see exactly what’s happening with your mineral levels, including magnesium, calcium, potassium, and sodium—all of which play a part in PCOS symptoms. From there, you get a personalized plan to restore balance, not just mask symptoms.

✨ Here’s a simple step to start today: Add magnesium-rich foods like pumpkin seeds, spinach, and dark chocolate to your daily meals. It’s a small shift, but it can have a big impact.

I’d love to hear from you—what’s the biggest challenge PCOS has brought into your life? Drop it in the comments, let’s support each other

Carbohydrates are your body’s primary source of glucose — the fuel your cells rely on to produce ATP (cellular energy). But here’s the catch: not all carbs behave the same way once they enter your system.

❌ Refined carbs & added sugars are digested quickly, flooding your bloodstream with glucose. This spikes insulin, overwhelms your cells, and often leads to a crash. Over time, repeated spikes can contribute to insulin resistance.

✅ Whole-food carbs (like fruits, vegetables, legumes, and whole grains) contain fiber and micronutrients. Fiber slows down glucose absorption, giving your cells a steady supply of fuel instead of a surge. This helps maintain stable blood sugar, supports mitochondrial function, and keeps energy levels consistent.

Smart carbs don’t just fill you up — they nourish your cells, protect your metabolism, and power your body with sustainable energy.

✨ Struggling to sleep? Your adrenals may be the reason.

Your adrenal glands are like little stress managers sitting on top of your kidneys. They release hormones—like cortisol—that help you handle stress and keep your energy balanced.

Here’s the catch: cortisol follows a natural rhythm. It should be high in the morning to wake you up, and low at night so you can sleep. But constant stress keeps cortisol high even at night, leaving you wired but tired. Poor sleep then stresses the adrenals even more, creating a cycle of stress → poor sleep → more stress.

❇️ Trouble falling asleep

❇️ Waking up between 2–4 AM

❇️ Feeling “tired but wired”

❇️ Relying on caffeine to get through the day

💡 What helps:
❇️ Calming bedtime routine
❇️ Balanced blood sugar
❇️Less caffeine late in the day
❇️ Unplugging from screens
❇️Supporting minerals + nutrients

✨ Ready to reclaim deep, restful sleep? It starts with supporting your adrenals. DM me “Sleep” and let’s get you back to balance.

It’s not just about what you eat, the supplements you take, or the hormones you balance—it’s about understanding and addressing the root causes of stress in your life.

We’ve been taught to focus on the surface solutions—eat cleaner, take a multivitamin, maybe even balance hormones with medication. And while these can help, they don’t always answer the bigger question:

👉 Why is your body stressed in the first place?

Stress isn’t only mental or emotional—it’s also biological. When your minerals are out of balance (like low magnesium, high calcium, or depleted potassium), your body literally feels stressed, even when your mind is calm. This kind of hidden stress can:

❇️ Drain your energy

❇️ Disrupt your sleep

❇️Trigger hormone imbalances

❇️ Make it harder to lose weight or focus

That’s why tools like Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) are so powerful. Instead of masking stress, HTMA shows you how stress is showing up inside your body—so you can finally target the root cause, not just the symptoms.

Imagine supporting your body in a way that actually lasts—because you’re working with it, not against it.
What’s one area of your life where you feel stress the most—energy, sleep, or hormones?
