3 Changes to the 2025 ABOG Oral Boards
1️⃣ No affidavit needs to be signed before submitting your Case List.
2️⃣ You only to have hospital privileges 6 months out of the case collection year.
3️⃣ If you cannot meet the minimum requirements for list patients, your only 2 options are an 18th Case List or using patients from residency/fellowship.
So what exactly does this mean?
✓ The affidavit requirement can always reappear. I'll keep my eyes and ears posted but it would be so nice to not have to get your Case List verified prior to submission.
✓ Your hospital privileges will need to be verified when you go to apply for the exam. So make sure you've got privileges during that time frame (March 3rd to April 25th).
✓ In the past, candidates who could not meet the requirements could notify ABOG and get a "standard" Case List given to them. It doesn't look like that is happening this year. So make sure you get all the cases you need.
