What a start and end to the summer season with HANJ ⚾️🏟️. Take me out to the ball game… for it’s one, two, three strikes you’re out, at the old ball game!! 🌭
We had some great education programs at the ballparks!

We held an education program at the Patriots Stadium, in conjunction with Rutgers RWJ HTC. This program discussed sports participation and injury prevention for our youth community participating in the upcoming sports season.

We also held another community eduction day, sponsored by Octapharma USA and Infucare RX, that discussed, “Rising to Life’s Challenges,” at Yankee stadium.

We are always excited to have our community come out to our events, as we watch the community learn, grow, and gain more knowledge! ❤️

Welcome to Day 2 of the House Energy & Commerce Committee all-nighter hearing on Medicaid cuts that is still going strong. 📜🗳️

We would like to thank Ranking Member Pallone (NJ-06) Frank Pallone Jr. for protecting patients and standing up against Medicaid cuts. 🫶🏼

Please take action, if you are in Districts NJ-07 (Rep. Kean) Congressman Tom Kean, NJ-08 (Rep. Menendez) Rep. Rob Menendez; tell lawmakers in the US House of Representatives to reject Medicaid cuts. We need to flood the inboxes of these Congress members to show that their vote to cut healthcare will harm our community. 🗣️

Personalize and send your message – tell your member WHY HEALTHCARE COVERAGE IS CRITICAL WHEN YOU HAVE A BLEEDING DISORDER – that’s all you have to do:

🚨 The bleeding disorders community needs you to take ACTION NOW.

During Washington Days, over 400 advocates made an impact on Capitol Hill, and we secured 6 new cosponsors for the HELP Copays Act.

But this week, the stakes have been raised. The Administration has announced major cuts to the CDC’s Division of Blood Disorders, which is critical to our community’s health and progress.
We cannot afford to lose these programs.

These cuts threaten vital research, education, and safety programs that our community relies on.

📝 Here’s how you can help:

1. Call your lawmakers at 202-224-3121

2. Tell them: “Protect the CDC’s bleeding disorders programs. Reverse the cuts and reinstate funding to ensure research, education, and patient safety continue.”

Your action TODAY will make all the difference. Let’s keep pushing for change! Read more at www.bleeding.org/news.

Dr. Mily Cepeda and her son, Omar Cepeda, had a great idea to organize a fundraiser for the staff at their school in order to raise awareness for bleeding disorders this month. They decided to host a “Wacky Hat Day” on Friday, 3/21/25, where staff members paid $1 to wear their favorite hat for the day. Students were free to participate and can also create their own hats. The crazier and taller the hat, the better. Award certificates were given out for the most wacky hat, most creative hat, etc… All donations will benefit the Hemophilia Association of New Jersey. “The idea behind this event is to celebrate the many roles we all play in our lives - as students, parents, children, counselors, caregivers, babysitters, artists, advocates, speakers, and patients. It is important to remember the various hats we wear each day and to take a moment to be silly when needed.”-Dr. Mily Cepeda. We are very grateful at the HANJ for our community and their efforts to show support! ❤️🧢👒🎩⛑️🎓
