Spring is Springin’! My car was covered in pollen when I left work today- was yours? Are you ready for the spring pollen season?
💫I recommend that all my spring allergy sufferers start a daily non-sedating antihistamine of your choice by now.
💫Have step up therapy ready
💫Try to stay ahead of the pollen, and get the medicine in your system before it really explodes!
💫Did you know that nasal sprays like Flonase can take 1-3 weeks to really kick in?
💫If your symptoms are bothering you, come see us! East Brunswick!

Air quality continues to be difficult in the tristate area due to the wildfires in Canada.
💫Air Quality Index in NJ was well over 300 yesterday (a level over 100 usually serves as a warning for hazardous effects on respiratory conditions)
💫 The Air Quality Index tracks this pollution with a measurement known as PM 2.5, which quantifies the concentration of particles smaller than 2.5 micrometers. When inhaled, these tiny specks can increase the risk of heart attacks, cancer, and acute respiratory infections, and complications of asthma especially in children and older adults.
💫Stay indoors when possible and avoid strenuous activity outdoors
💫Run your A/C - if you have and keep all windows closed
💫HEPA filters can reduce particulate matter indoors
💫ASTHMATICS always carry your rescue inhaler/emergency meds with you AND be consistent with your daily therapies!
💫Come see us if your asthma is flaring!

Happy Mother’s Day!! To all the mom’s - past, present, and future! 💕 Today also kicks off Food Allergy Awareness Week!

💫Did you know that 32 MILLION Americans suffer from a life threatening food allergy!?

That’s 32 MILLION MOMs who have to - or have had to worry that a single bite of food could cause a life-threatening reaction in their child! 😞

💫I’m there with you- it’s been a tough year for my food allergy hero- he’s needed epinephrine twice in the past few months- and it stinks - like seriously is the worst…BUT I’m very grateful for the magic of epinephrine, and that he continues to have a positive attitude.

💫Never let your guard down, always carry your epinephrine auto-injector, and find the balance!

It always blows my mind that every 3 minutes someone is sent to the Emergency Department with an allergic reaction to food!
