Want to take your kombucha to the next level? It’s all in the second ferment.

This is where the magic happens - flavor, fizz, and creativity.

You can use almost any juice, fruit, spice, or herb… but one of my favorites is juice from home-canned fruit. Peaches, berries, cherries, ginger - real flavor, no artificial anything.

How I do it:
• Add 10–25% juice (2 tbsp–1/4 cup per bottle) to your liking
• Gently mix
• Let sit on the counter a couple days
• Burp daily

Once it’s nice and fizzy, move it to the fridge. Chill, then enjoy.

⚠️ Open carefully - this stuff gets bubbly!

Simple, traditional, and so worth it. Endless flavor combos.

Have you tried using your home-canned fruit yet?

Dinner from a jar! This is the kind of “fast food” I can feel good about. No mystery ingredients. No preservatives. Just beef, a little salt if you choose, and time well spent.

And here’s the best part…
When you open a jar, it’s already fully cooked, tender, and packed with rich flavor. Dinner is halfway done.

Why I love having canned beef on hand:
• Saves so much time on busy nights
• Turns simple meals into something hearty and satisfying
• Shelf-stable (no freezer space needed 🙌)
• Makes you feel prepared and a little more self-sufficient

Easy meal ideas:
• Tacos or burrito bowls
• Soups or stews
• Beef & gravy over mashed potatoes
• Breakfast skillet with eggs
• Toss into a “fridge dump” meal

It’s one of those traditional skills that just makes sense. A little work up front… and your future self will thank you.

If you’ve never tried pressure canning beef, don’t overthink it—it’s easier than you think. And once you start… you’ll want to can everything (chicken and ground beef are game changers too).

Basic how-to:
Trim fat → cube beef → (salt if desired) → pack into jars → wipe rims → lids & rings →
Pressure can 75 min (pints) or 90 min (quarts) → cool → check seals

Quick reference:
Pint = ~1 lb raw (1–2 servings)
Quart = ~2 lbs raw (4–6 servings)

Don’t sleep on celery… seriously. 🥬

Most people think of celery as just a “diet food” or something you dip in ranch… but it’s actually one of the most underrated real foods out there.

✨ Why celery deserves a spot in your kitchen:

* Hydrating - packed with water + natural electrolytes
* Supports digestion - fiber + compounds that help your gut
* Anti-inflammatory - great for overall health
* Low-carb & nutrient-dense - perfect base for real food snacks
* CRUNCH – that satisfying bite makes it the perfect vehicle for toppings

And honestly… that’s where celery shines.

Think of celery like a blank canvas.
It’s sturdy, scoopable, and adds freshness to both savory AND sweet creations.

🌮 Savory Favorite (what you’re seeing here)

This is one of those “why didn’t I do this sooner” combos:

Mexican-style shredded chicken celery boats

* Shredded chicken
* Taco seasoning
* Salsa
* Olives
* Melted cheese

Pile that into celery sticks and you’ve got:
✔ low-carb
✔ high-protein
✔ crunchy + creamy + salty
✔ ridiculously satisfying

It’s basically a taco… without the crash.

🍯 Sweet Celery Ideas (don’t knock it till you try it)

Celery + sweet is actually SO good because of that fresh crunch:

* Peanut butter + honey + sea salt
* Cream cheese + maple syrup + cinnamon
* Almond butter + dark chocolate chips
* Mascarpone + berries + drizzle of raw honey
* “Healthy caramel” (dates blended) + pecans

That sweet + salty + crunchy combo is excellent!

Real food doesn’t have to be complicated.
Sometimes it’s just using simple ingredients in a smarter way.

Celery went from “boring veggie tray” to one of my favorite go-to bases for quick, nourishing snacks.

Have you ever used celery like this… or are you still team ranch? 😄
