The sweet sound of nothing. No clicks, clunks, or wasted motion. Almost done with the overhaul of this SA80 series 1. Looking forward to dialing it in over the next couple of days. It feels great to hold it.

Four years. It takes four years to make a single reed.

Our cane (also known as Arundo Donax) is grown for about 2 years in the Mediterranean Basin. It is then cut, stripped of its leaves, and sunned for about 2 weeks to get its beautiful, golden yellow color. Then the cane poles are stacked in a warehouse where the Mistral Winds help in drying the cane poles naturally for another 2 years.
