Thank you Henderson County Public Schools for recognizing our wonderful planning committee for all their hard work for Spring Games and for our year round programming! We are happy to serve our community and our amazing athletes! The recognition is about 45 minutes into this video.

We had a great day at our Spring Games! Even though we had a brief period of unexpected rain we enjoyed our Jungle Safari themed day of fun and competition.

The games this year were dedicated to the community. We opened with the following: "Today’s Spring Games are dedicated to YOU — the soul of WESTERN NC. This past year has tested us in ways we never imagined. We’ve faced the storm, the fires, and the heartache they left behind. But through every trial, we’ve held onto each other. We’ve shown what it means to be a community — to love, to support, to rise together. Today, we celebrate that unbreakable spirit. We are, and always will be, WESTERN NC STRONG!”

We were honored to have Grounded Boots Relief with us to light the flame. This group was started by John Badger. He began this non-profit as a result of Hurricane Helene and his crew has faithfully and tirelessly served our community and many others through devastation and crisis.

As always it is a joy to see all the smiling faces of athletes, families, volunteers, and all in attendance!

Thank you to everyone who made this day possible.

Continue to dream big, be brave, stand tall, and have fun!
