Sober 5 year anniversary

I recover out loud so those suffering silently have a voice.
Was a rough year, the hardest by far to remain sober. Losing one of my best friends to cancer , testing skin cancer over 70% of my face, double mastectomy for breast cancer. I very much wished at times there was a way to turn down the volume of my life . However with the strength of my friends and family I chose to remain sober. The only thing alcohol would have done is cause chaos during crisis.. my faith in humanity ,family and friendships are firmly intact ❀️
