We at East Greenbush Dental Care are committed to providing excellent and safe care for all of our patients. Due to the recent public health crisis related to the COVID-19 virus, commonly known as the coronavirus, we have altered our office availability in a way that may affect you and your family’s care.

In compliance with the recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the New York State Dental Association (NYSDA), and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we are postponing all non-emergent and elective treatment for a period of approximately 3 weeks. This includes all routine cleanings and checkup exams.

We will still be able to provide emergency treatment and address pain or other conditions requiring immediate intervention.

If you have an appointment already scheduled during this time period, you can expect a call from us soon to address your appointment and options for rescheduling. Not all treatment will need to be rescheduled, especially for emergent conditions dealing with infected teeth or pain.

If you have questions regarding this temporary policy change or would like to reschedule your appointment, please call us at (518) 451-9770 or email us at frontdesk@eastgreenbushdentalcare.com .

We apologize for the inconvenience and hope that you and your family remain safe during this difficult time.

Sincerely,

East Greenbush Dental Care

In response to Novel Coronavirus, COVID-19:

We at East Greenbush Dental Care are following the latest recommendations from the CDC and Departments of Health. We are in contact with our local health department every day, as our understanding of the illness, testing ability and community risk changes daily.

While the number of cases in the United States is currently small, the novel nature of this virus allows it to spread and become a larger health concern. We encourage all to reduce your risk of acquiring and spreading the infection by following the advice on the New York State COVID-19 information page:
https://www.health.ny.gov/diseases/communicable/coronavirus

Individuals at increased risk are those with exposure to an individual with COVID-19 or travel to a country with a higher incidence, currently China, Iran, Japan, South Korea and Italy, within the last 14 days. Individuals who call for appointments will be asked about these risks.

NYS DOH recommends that high-risk individuals should isolate themselves and contact their local health department for further advice. Please do not come to our office without notifying us first, as doing so compromises our ability to enact precautions and puts our patients, families and staff at risk, and compromises our ability to comprehensively and professionally care for our patients.

For updated information, see the NYS DOH site as noted above.

The NYS DOH COVID-19 Hotline is: 1-888-364-3065

Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
