Conjunctivitis (pink eye) is common in children and can spread quickly. Here’s what to look for:

🔹 Increased tearing
🔹 Soreness of the eye
🔹 Redness in one or both eyes
🔹 Itchy or burning sensation
🔹 Watery or thick discharge (pus)
🔹 Crusting on lashes, especially after sleep

While many cases are mild, you should see an ophthalmologist if:

👶 Symptoms last more than a few days
🧼 Discharge worsens or affects vision
📈 Your child has a fever or other signs of illness
💊 You're unsure whether it's viral, bacterial, or allergic

Early diagnosis ensures the right treatment and helps prevent it from spreading to others. Link in bio to find an office near you!

Did you know? People at risk for advanced age-related macular degeneration (AMD) reduced their risk by at least 25% when taking a high-dose combination of specific vitamins and minerals:

✅ Vitamin C (500mg)
✅ Vitamin E (400 IU)
✅ Lutein (10mg)
✅ Zeaxanthin (2mg)
✅ Zinc (80mg)
✅ Copper (2mg)

While these supplements can help slow the progression of AMD, they are not a cure and won’t restore lost vision. Talk to your eye care provider to see if this regimen is right for you.

Champagne cork injuries can cause serious, and sometimes, long-term damage.

Avoid an eye injury this New Year's Eve by following these tips.

A Champagne cork can fly up to 50 mph as it leaves the bottle — fast enough to shatter glass. If the cork hits an eye, it can cause bleeding, abrasions and even glaucoma.
