More breaking news from Albany, where they’re heading into the homestretch of the 2025 regular legislative session.

Both the Senate and Assembly have passed another one of NYSCA's 2025 legislative priorities, requiring any insurer that uses a credit card, virtual credit card, or electronic funds to pay a provider's claim for reimbursement to notify the provider in advance if there is a fee to process the payment and provide an alternative payment method that does not impose a fee.

Big win for transparency! 💪

A Clinical Compass systematic review was selected as a Top Published Article of 2024 by Chiropractic and Manual Therapies! Read the announcement: clinicalcompass.org/news

The systematic review compared the costs of chiropractic versus medical care for managing spine-related musculoskeletal pain in U.S. adults. Forty-four high and acceptable-quality studies demonstrated that care provided by chiropractors consistently resulted in fewer downstream services related to opioid prescriptions, surgeries, imaging, ER use, and hospitalizations. Patients initiating care with chiropractors experienced substantially lower overall healthcare costs.
