Joe Thorne has devoted an incredible 43 years of service to the residents and team at MediLodge of East Lansing. Since starting on December 23, 1982, Joe has been a steady and reliable presence in the food service department, ensuring generations of residents enjoyed meals prepared and served with care.

His long-standing commitment reflects not only a strong work ethic but also a deep respect for the people he serves. Joe’s loyalty, experience, and dedication have made a lasting impact on MediLodge, and his 43 years of service are a remarkable achievement worth celebrating!

🌟 Success Story: Dawn Read 🌟
When Dawn Read first arrived at MediLodge of East Lansing, she faced a journey that would challenge her strength, patience, and determination. She was admitted on a ventilator, requiring extensive respiratory support and full assistance with daily tasks. But from the moment she entered our doors, Dawn brought with her a spirit of resilience that inspired everyone around her.

With the guidance of our respiratory therapy team, Dawn made steady progress and reached a major milestone—transitioning from full ventilator support to a tracheostomy. This achievement opened the door for even more independence and marked the beginning of a new chapter in her recovery.

As Dawn grew stronger, she threw herself wholeheartedly into Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy. Day after day, she worked with dedication to rebuild her mobility, regain her endurance, and take back the everyday abilities many take for granted. Her therapists watched with pride as she pushed through challenges, celebrated victories, and continued to exceed expectations.

Congratulations, Dawn! Your determination has been extraordinary, and we are honored to have been part of your recovery. We wish you continued health, happiness, and success as you return home—you’ve earned every step forward. 💙👏
