Join the Michigan Organization on Adolescent Sexual Health (MOASH) and Rooted Counseling for Linking Families & Teens (LiFT)! LiFT is a ✨free✨ 6-hour community retreat designed for young people (ages 13–19) and their supportive adults to connect, share values, and have meaningful conversations about topics that matter most in young people’s lives. Trained facilitators guide participants through interactive activities, real-life communication tips, and tools to strengthen bonds beyond the session. LiFT aims to establish and sustain healthy relationships through ongoing conversations between youth and their support adults. Meals are provided, you’ll receive a take-home guide packed with resources, and leave with strategies to keep the conversation going. Plus, each participant gets a gift card at the end of the program!

Have you heard of ? They are an amazing group that focuses amplifying the voices of birthing persons, especially Black women. They offer birth and postpartum doula services and provide support and are involved in advocacy efforts to improve BIPOC birth experiences, access to resources, and birth outcomes. They are holding their annual community baby shower on 4/25 that is open to any BIPOC pregnant or new parents (0-6 months) who live in Ingham County with a ton of free resources and supplies for those in need.

Rooted clinicians will be at this event where we’re handing out free swag and gifts but also wanted to extend the opportunity to our community to get involved by donating items from their needed items list! We have donation boxes at each Rooted office where you can drop off items from until Friday 4/10! Not going to be at a Rooted office before then? Not a problem! There are several other Lansing drop off locations or you can donate online!

We had SO MUCH fun at our Halloween Open House this weekend and are blown away by how many adorably costumed kiddos joined us for some spooky fun! Pretty sure this needs to become an annual Rooted tradition. 🎃
