The Alliance of Queer & Ally Students

The Alliance of Queer & Ally Students The queer and ally community's catalyst for positive social change, education, and collaboration at Michigan State University! They are held on Mondays at 7 pm.

The Alliance of Queer & Ally Students has existed at Michigan State University for over 40 years, as the LBGT and ally voice in ASMSU, MSU's undergraduate student government. Originally named the Gay Liberation Front, the Alliance is governed by the Associated Students of MSU (ASMSU) and funded by ASMSU tax dollars. In addition to holding seats in ASMSU's Academic Assembly, Student Assembly, and Programming Board, The Alliance of Queer & Ally also sits on the General Assembly of the Residence Halls Association. The Alliance is an organization devoted to advocating for policies that benefit the LBGT community at MSU. Some of these include the Preferred Name Policy and Gender Neutral/Flexible Housing. Other policies in progress are Gender Neutral Bathrooms and Trans Inclusive Student Health Care. Our Eboard meetings are open for others to attend and speak or ask questions.
