Why UV Protection Matters
Ultraviolet (UV) rays are a form of electromagnetic radiation emitted by the sun. Prolonged exposure to UV rays can lead to a variety of eye conditions, including:

Photokeratitis (Sunburn of the eye)
Cataracts
Macular degeneration
Pterygium (growth on the eye)
Pinguecula (yellowish patches on the sclera)

Even if you don’t notice any immediate discomfort, UV damage accumulates over time and can significantly impair your vision later in life.
