MSU-LIFE:Rx The Lifestyle Inventory & Fitness Evaluation Prescription Program

During the initial appointment, the client participates in light manual and computerized exercise testing which provides the baseline data for a comprehensive fitness assessment. This appointment takes about 75 minutes and measures the following,

- Blood Pressure
- Cholesterol / HDL
- Percent Body Fat
- Heart Rate
- Flexibility
- Lung Volume
- Muscular Endurance
- Muscular Strength
- Aerobic Capacity
- Relative Fitness Level
- Lifestyle Risk Status

Following the testing is a counseling session where your results are discussed, suggestions for changing or maintaining behaviors are given and a person fitness and lifestyle plan is created. Three months after the initial visit, the procedures are repeated and the changes are discussed.

What is LIFE:Rx?
The Life:Rx program is designed to measure, assess and assist in the planning of an individualized program to achieve one's fitness and wellness goals. The emphasis is to provide an assessment service that is accessible, affordable and motivational.

What does a LIFE:Rx appointment include?
