Finals week can disrupt routines. Stress can impair internal cues for hunger. Competent eaters have the awareness to make deliberate choices about what to eat, when to eat, and know when they have had enough to eat. Once they have had a meal, they can stop thinking about food and get back to studying until the next meal or snack!

Connecting with UHW dietitians can help your Spartan trust themselves to do well with eating! UHW Nutrition Services offers no-cost support to help Spartans stay nourished and well.

Call: 517-353-4660 to schedule a no-cost nutrition appointment.

We did the math. Your donation can define a Spartan’s progress in their recovery journey.

Nearly 3.2% of MSU students – approximately 1,600 Spartans – are navigating college while also progressing through recovery from substance use addiction.

This , consider supporting Spartans in recovery through the Collegiate Recovery Community.

Every dollar donated to the CRC will help fund direct services and programming for students in recovery and those affected by addiction, such as the following:

$500: One monthly CRC Community Connection Event, which are designed to increase sense of belonging and community connectedness while reducing stigma

$300: Updated amenities to replace aging and failing ones in the CRC Student Lounge (e.g. mini-fridge, microwave, water dispenser)

$250: One semesterly Lunch & Learn workshop based on CRC student-identified resource topic of need

$200: One month of food and drink for weekly student CRC All Recovery Meetings

$30: One order of cookies for monthly student recovery dates celebration

This week, April 13 to 17, is Collegiate Recovery Week.

This week celebrates students in recovery from substance use disorders, as well as the collegiate recovery programs that support them.

University Health and Wellbeing provides multiple services to connect MSU students with recovery. Through the Collegiate Recovery Community – MSU’s collegiate recovery program – and CAPS counseling, students can find connection, support, and a path forward.

Our Collegiate Recovery Community relies on donor support to sustain programming and scholarships.

A health promoting campus doesn’t just happen. It’s designed through intentional action, trusted information, and the people who show up every day to promote wellbeing and embed it into the fabric of a campus.

As we recognize National Public Health Week (April 6–12, 2026) and U.S. Health Promoting Campuses Week (April 19–25), we’re grateful for the ongoing work across MSU that helps create a culture of care and supports the wellbeing of the whole person.
