East Village Place goes out on monthly lunch trips. This past Wednesday we went to Anthony's in Enfield, CT. They seated us in a nice roomy area for our group of 12. They have an extensive menu, something for everyone. The seafood, especially the lobster rolls, was a big hit.

A Watermark University class, Seasonal Card Making, is very popular. We are currently focusing on Summer themes. The unique aspect of these projects are that the cards are made from ordinary napkins. Demonstrations on the techniques of making the cards helps the residents learn how to make their own. We encourage creativity!

We provide a variety of religious services at East Village Place. Father Wayne, from St. Michael's church, comes monthly. We also have Kathy, from St. Michael's Church, who comes and provides a communion service twice per month. Father Jack, our resident priest, holds Mass twice per week on Sundays and Tuesdays. Reverend Stephen LaValley, and members of Grace Church in Springfield come monthly.

Watermark University Class, Timely Topics Around the World, is a weekly event. A very informative program that goes into greater detail about what's in the news, but also talks about artists, poets and writers, there is a section about animals and the environment, this day in history, a focus on a particular country and a remember when section.
