We are proud to announce the addition of Susan Chapin as a Welcome Ambassador at East Village Place. The Welcome Ambassador greets new residents and helps them feel more at home by showing them around the building, introducing them to other residents and sharing tips and information on the general operations of the building. Cuteness and Creative overload! Here at East Village Place we held a Trick or Treat event for children to go room to room for treats. There were adorable little ones and great costumes worn by all the kids attending. We had 28 residents handing out candy, so there was no shortage of goodies. We also provided cookies and cupcakes for all in the Cafe.

Larry Radner, Professional Photographer and resident of East Village Place, presented a Holocaust Watermark University Class. This moving and heart wrenching program of photos put to music is one of many that Larry has compiled for viewing. Larry followed up with an uplifting show depicting the Earth's Creation, where most of the photos were ones he had taken. We are pleased to have such a talented person residing here at East Village Place and we're pleased he was willing to share his hobby with us. We look forward to viewing his other programs.

Julie Ann from Wingmasters put on a wonderful program about Birds Of Prey. She brought a Peregrine Falcon, Red Tailed Hawk, Screech Owl, Barred Owl and a Great Horned Owl. She rehabs these birds and brings the birds that can no longer survive in the wild due to injuries. Most of the injuries these birds get are from collisions with cars when they watch the roads for rodents. It was fascinating to learn more about these birds an see them up close.

This is probably the last outdoor ice cream trip for East Village Place this year. At graham Central Station we enjoyed some delicious homemade ice cream including Moose Tracks, Coffee, Vanilla and Raspberry. It was a beautiful day and we had the pleasure of enjoying a 2 year old's birthday party while we were there. Luckily for us there are indoor ice cream locations we will still be able to visit!
