The Gray Matters Collective continues to offer wonderful opportunities for our community. Here is a list of the current groups being offered.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Our support groups are growing!

This July, we are launching three new monthly support groups, in addition to our existing men’s and women’s groups. These changes come directly from your feedback, especially the need for a moms group and a gender-inclusive space for all.

You asked. We listened. And together, we’re building something powerful. 🩶⭐️

All groups are free and led by licensed counselors. Whether you’re a teen, parent, or simply someone looking for a place to be heard, there’s a group for you.

📅 Tuesday, July 1 at 4:00 PM
👥 Led by Lynette Kirk

Healing happens in community—and we’re here for you. A special thank you to the counselors giving their time, energy, and passion for stronger mental health to make this happen! We appreciate you SO much.

In observance of Mental Health Awareness Month, Foster's Voice - Su***de Awareness and the Park Board invite the community to gather for the unveiling of the first Wind Phone in the Quad Cities on Thursday, May 22 at 2 p.m. at Mitchell Park (431 30th Ave.).

A Wind Phone is a quiet, symbolic space where people can speak to loved ones who have passed — a meaningful way to process grief and healing.

Last month several providers from our office attended the American Counseling Association conference in Orlando. It is a value of ours at UBTC to continue to learn and network with other clinicians. Some of the workshops that we attended:
Disruptive Behavior Disorders & Elimination Disorders in Youth: Diagnosis and Treatment for ODD, Conduct, Enuresis and Encopresis; Examining the Criterion Validity of Popular Autism Questionnaires; Navigating Post-Divorce Dynamics; S*x as Self-Care for Moms: The Intersection of Motherhood, Identity and S*xuality; Embracing S*x Positivity in Counseling. We will continue to attend conferences, engage in networking and maintain our passion to provide you with quality care.

An opportunity.
