Don’t fear plants- they are our most caring community.
Do respect them enough to know their story.
🌿💚
Who can be eaten, who is for someone else to eat (neighbor in nature),…?
🪲
We have the opportunity to relearn a relationship with the wild ones that is fear free.
🌱
Because that wall we’ve built between us for safety has now become a cage.
🐾☘️
Break free and get a little wild!

Belonging is what we seek.
You already belong… it’s in your nature
We just have to remember 💚

Who’s ready to join me in BUG GIRL SPRING?!?!
🐝🦋🐜🪲
My feral folk out there get it.
🕸️
We’re neighbors and community with everyone, rooted and unrooted. No matter how many eyes we have.
🕷️
It’s diversity that makes this world work.
🐞
Let’s no longer allow these tiny little super heroes to be treated cringeworthy but rather, embrace and celebrate their existence.
Especially while we can make a difference. Their population is crashing and we can help.
So let’s do it.
🐛🦗
Here’s my 4 top “Bug Girl Spring” ideas:
1) Tell their stories so others can better understand how amazing they are. Cute stories :) people like to hear those and don’t tune us out as easily.
2) Native scape yards and balconies
3) No pesticides. There are so many alternatives now readily available.
4) Turn off outdoor lights at night.

What are your top tips for a Bug Girl Spring?!

I made us some tea.
🫶
For those of us who feel the weight of the world weighing heavily on our hearts.
It’s very very important to tend to this precious organ and system.
♥️
Did you know that grief and heartache can lead or actual physical heart conditions?
Indigenous people did and modern science is beginning to confirm it as well.
❣️
Issues such as Takotsubo cardiomyopathy can occur during and after times of grief, heartache, loss…
💚
I created HeartSong for us “feelers” that want so badly to care for everyone and everything and sometimes our bodies need the care too.
♥️
I created this blend to care for the physical heart itself as well as the emotional and spiritual heart.
🫀
For the physical heart-
Hawthorn comes in as a well documented and studied cardiovascular superstar while Motherwort calms and brings ease to a tense heart. Hibiscus is noted for cardiotonic effects.
💛
For the emotional heart-
Rose which is the most well known for its love and heart centric properties, damiana which is beautifully uplifting and rosehips for another dash of joy.
🌹
I hope this brings you the love you need to nourish your center space, feel the hope and joy to carry forward your beautiful work and path.
💕
Hope is resistance to fear. Hold it close and spread it wide.
❤️💪

If you ever feel a bit overwhelmed at the idea of foraging- give this a watch!
🌿
Honestly, I don’t ever forage a meal or hardly ever a side dish.
But I DO “trail nibble” allllll the time and know that I’m getting massive benefit.
Trail nibble is just a cute name for eating bits and bites of wild plants when we are among them.
🌱
Give this a watch when you have time to see why!
🌿
Sneak peek- it’s for gut health (based on the largest study of the human gut microbiome to date)
And
Emotional wellness based on decades of witnessing people return to a greater sense of belonging with every little nibble 💚🌿

I see lots of talk about cleavers right now. Let’s revisit this video and make sure we’re getting the most from the cleavers we’ve gathered :)
🌿
Cleavers are my all time favorite lymphatic herb so it’s certainly worth the time to get to know them.
🌿
Fresh cleavers just placed in hot water isn’t going to do the trick.
In fact, not hardly any fresh plant works that way to make tea.
The fresh plant’s cellular structure isn’t broken and water is still present within it, so basically hot water just hits the plant’s water and no permeation can take place.
🌿
Here’s how to make it work and enjoy fresh cleavers with amazing benefit. (See in video)
🌿
Another way is to simmer them lightly in water for about 15 minutes on the stove to break through the cellular structure and allow infusion into your water and make tea :)
🌿
Lastly, you can also dry them for later enjoyment.

We’ve been making this exact Season herbal tea and tincture for over 7 years and the recipe hasn’t changed.
🌿
Reason- they work and always have. Folks keep letting us know just how effective they are and it makes sense. Nature knows nature, and we know nature.
🌿
The exceptional thing about natural (truly natural) herbal allergy relief is that it works in a different manner than OTC.
Not just blocking receptor sites but actually working on helping the immune system to stabilize histamine response while aiding the symptoms like drying the drips.
🌿
Some find it to work better than OTC, some find it to not work as well. I also know some who choose to do both to hit the allergies from different angles (as long as you don’t get too dried out).
🌿
No pressure to buy- just dropping it here in case you’re looking for something to try in the midst of allergy season that’s been tried, tested, and loved for many years by adults and children.

Spring is here and we have the teas to prove it!
🌼
Health to be savored.
🌱
Tea is an occasion, a celebration, and connection to our inner and outer nature.
🌿
These teas can be enjoyed warm, iced, or turned into sun teas.
💚
All the goodness without chemical solvents, flavorings, microplastics, or excess packaging and waste.
🐾
All are deforestation free, animal friendly, organically grown, and in positive partnership with those who grow and gather.
Happy spring my friends. May the sun shine on you brightly ☀️

Resharing this because it’s so fun right now!
🌼
Spring is full of incredible lymphatic tonics and trail nibbles.
🌱
No need to eat much- just enough to find your feral and benefits of the wild probiotics.
🐾
Leave most for our hungry neighbors in nature.

Been craving ceremony in your life but don’t even know where to begin?
🌱
Over the years, I’ve found the changing of the seasons to be a perfect time to realign and tune back into my deeper connection and knowing.
🌿
Each of our ancestors have honored and celebrated the seasonal shifts.
It’s in our blood to take an intentional moment with this time.

And it helps us remember how to hold ceremony. It can be as simple or complex as you want. Ceremony can be what you need it to be.
🌸
As far as this time of year, Spring Equinox or Ostara is here!

To celebrate this glorious day brings me back in rhythm with the rest of nature and reminds me that the sun is returning!

Life is springing back up
Rebirth
Planting seeds and hopes of fertility and abundance.

Our neighbors in nature are waking up, coming back out and the chatter and buzzing begins.
💚
My favorite ceremony is a simple one that can be enjoyed alone or with family and friends.
🐿️
We make a picnic for all of us. And by all of us I mean our wild neighbors as well.

We have treats for us and seeds and fruits for them too.

We enjoy our treats and thank the sun for the day. Usually lie flat and open our arms for a big warm sun hug.

Then, we set out our little friend’s treats with care.

We have such a good time imagining them finding them and being so excited!
🦎
This too is ceremony.
💚✨
The intention.. we are all family. We are all connected. Abundance when we share.
💕
So you see, no need to be intimidated when you think of bringing ceremony back into your life. There are many forms… do what works for you!
🌿
Happy Spring Equinox my friends.
