“To have a nurturing community, even a nurturing society, requires a bulk of people to have good hearts and to be nurturing and kind. How about we be intentional about creating kindness bubbles? Be kind. As an experiment, be kind beyond community standards for a day, a month, a year, a decade. See how it goes. You never know what burdens people are carrying in a given day. The burdens can be complex. Right now a lot of people are afraid, hurting, feeling insecure, and grieving. People need hope and joy. People need to know they are loved and appreciated. Let’s make compassion, character, values, and virtues some of the things we think on today. I also reject making corporate business model language and ways the norm in human interactions. Let’s celebrate humanity and being fully human with warmth that embraces spontaneity, creativity, and gracious accountability.”
