East Newnan Mill Village Memory... Gloria and I riding around on a sunday afternoon with Glenda and Ann Adams (Glenda driving) in their daddy's big black Buick. One time it was a red 50 model Ford convertible we went riding in. Rode around the court square no telling how many times. You could go either way around the court square then. Those were the days! I miss them!

I remember going down to Granny"s [Gladys McCullough] She would be in the house doing something and would say lets go sit on the porch it's about time for the Mill hands to come on.Everybody that came by would blow and wave.

Did anyone know that they use to be a race track around Hollis T house there on Haynes St. We use to sit in Gerald McCullough's window and watch the race.

Gerald McCullough and Jimmy Shaddix both went to car dealership"s one day one went to the ford co. and one to the Chevrolet Co. and told them they wanted to try out a car.They both met up on hwy16 which was a drag strip for them.They both dragged in the new cars took them back one of the cars was running hot when they got back.

My Daddy told me that Hollis T used the wood of his back porch for firewood.He needed some wood so he went out and torn the back porch up.Imagine that.
