Nearly 58 years ago, 17-year-old Joni Eareckson Tada took a dive into shallow water that left her a quadriplegic, changing her life forever. Around that same age, KC also experienced a life-altering water accident that left her paralyzed.

Their stories run parallel in many ways, both marked by deep suffering, hard questions, and ultimately, unwavering faith in Jesus. As KC shares:

“I just have so many questions that I cannot understand. I tried looking at different secular books, but... it was only through his Word that I found my answers.”

As we remember the 58th anniversary of Joni’s accident, we also thank God for how he continues to work through stories like KC’s, using suffering not as an end, but as a means of making Christ known and making his people more like him.

God is God!
