✨ Who is this for? Anyone seeking to restore balance, reconnect with their inner cycles, and harness both vitality & deep calm.

I am delighted to welcome Kelly back to Your Yoga Place for a special evening workshop:
HARMONIZING SOLAR AND LUNAR ENERGIES
IN PRACTICE AND IN LIFE
Balance the dynamic energies of the sun and moon in this transformative yoga workshop, where we weave together yin and yang movements, breathwork, and energetic exploration.
Through flowing, heat-building sequences and restorative, grounding postures, we activate the Ida and Pingala nadis, harmonizing the opposing yet complementary forces within us.
Dive into the organ energies and emotional frequencies connected to solar and lunar vitality, cultivating both radiant strength and deep inner calm.
This practice will leave you feeling centered, empowered, and deeply connected with the cycles of nature and life.
Led by Kelly Fitzsimons, E-RYT 500, YACEP

AstāvakrāsanaThis Asana is dedicated to the sage Astāvakra, the spiritual preceptor of King Janka of Mithilā, who was the father of Sītā. It is related that when the sage was in his mother‘s womb, his father Kagola made several mistakes while reciting the Vedas (the sacred scriptures). Hearing these, the unborn sage laughed. The father became enraged and cursed his son to be born as Astāvakra. So it came to pass that he was crooked in eight places when he was born. These crooks earned the name Astāvakra, or eight crooks. The sage's father has been defeated in a philosophical debate with Vandi, the court scholar of Mithilā. The sage became a great scholar and avenged his father‘s defeat by versing Vandi in argument and becoming the preceptor of Janaka. Then his father blessed him, his deformity vanished, and he became straight, no longer crooked.Mark teaches the hip opening series every Monday at 6 p.m. and the Ashtanga+ Vinyasa Community class (free) once a month. The next community class is on Saturday, November 30th, at Noon.
