If your shoulder, neck, or back pain keeps coming back, it’s usually not the treatment—it’s a systematic approach to healing that’s missing.

That’s why I built the 6-Week Pain Reset Methodā„¢ļø.

It’s not random acupuncture sessions—it’s a structured system that combines:

• Acupuncture
• Orthopedic + osteopathic bodywork
• Structural assessment
• Corrective rehab strategies
• Nervous system regulation

The goal isn’t simply relaxation and muscle release focused treatments.

It’s lasting mechanical and neurological change so your body actually holds the results.

If you’re tired of chasing symptoms, this is where we fix what’s driving them!

ā€œThe Liver holds the office of the General of the Armed Forces. Assessment of circumstances and conception of plans stem from it.ā€ — Su Wen 8

The Hun spirit is associated with the Liver and it desires adventures and spontaneity. Having experiences outside of our comfort zone nourishes the Hun.

In classical Chinese medicine, we say that Blood is experience and Qi is potential. We often need new experiences to comfort the Hun and support the building of blood.

In Spring time, the season of the Liver—Liver Qi has a tendency towards exuberance. If however we lack sufficient resources, we fail to ā€œassess and planā€, essentially stunting our forward growth and evolution.

Have new adventures! Nourish yourself not just with food, rest and meditation but with the joy found in new experiences.

Try Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine!

Happy Lunar New Year! A Fire Horse year in the Chinese zodiac combines two powerful symbolic forces: the Horse (powerful movement, freedom, drive, and action) and the Fire element (transformation, passion, expansion, joy and intensity).

Traditionally, Fire Horse years are associated with rapid change, bold decisions, and periods where individual willpower can dramatically shape outcomes. It’s often seen as a time when momentum accelerates — both opportunities and challenges tend to arrive faster, rewarding people who are decisive but punishing those who burn out or act impulsively.

From a Chinese Medicine lens, the Fire element corresponds primarily to the Heart and Small Intestine systems, as well as the Shen (Spirit or consciousness).

In balance— Fire supports joy, connection, enthusiasm, and strong circulation. In excess—it can show up as anxiety, inflammation, sleep disruption, overstimulation, or emotional volatility.

During a Fire-dominant year, Chinese Medical philosophy would emphasize regulating fire rather than suppressing it — meaning you want enough to move forward in life, but not so much that you overheat physically or emotionally.

Practically, living well in a Fire Horse year through a TCM lens means building daily habits that anchor and circulate energy smoothly. That includes prioritizing deep sleep (Fire is restored at night), managing stimulant use, staying hydrated, and balancing intense work or ambition with grounding practices like walking, breath work, meditation, yoga, qigong, or time in nature. Diet-wise, Chinese Medicine would favor slightly cooling and moistening foods when fire energy is high — things like pears, berries, leafy greens, and properly cooked whole foods — while avoiding excessive alcohol, ultra-spicy foods, and chronic stress eating, which can ā€œfan the flames.ā€

On a life-strategy level, Fire Horse years are often seen as excellent for taking visible action on long-held goals, building reputation, launching ideas, and forming meaningful social or professional bonds.

The healthiest and most ā€œplentifulā€ path, from this worldview, is channeling intensity into purpose while protecting your nervous system and Heart Qi. In simple terms: move fast toward what matters, but recover like it’s part of your job. šŸ™

I haven’t posted in a while—life has just been busy. As usual, I’m always doing my best to help patients with whatever ailment they might be dealing with. As one of my teachers used to say, ā€œtry to be the walking hospital—learn to treat everything.ā€

This woman was suffering with polymenorrhea and pronounced hormonal swings, likely due to life/ work stress. ā˜Æļø

The concept of Attachment isn’t familiar to many in Western culture as we are commonly taught to be passionate, empathetic and care deeply about what motivates us. Conversely, Buddhism teaches that our Attachment is the very reason for our suffering. Attachment is at the root of Fear, Anger, Anxiety, feeling let down or simply struggling to accept what is.

In this regard, I help patients who somatize or physically manifest their emotions to understand where their suffering is rooted. We discuss how to alleviate those emotional poisons with mindfulness and of course acupuncture is always there for support. While it can be challenging at first, embracing Equinimity can truly be liberating.

If you’re in emotional as well as physical pain, consider that the mind and body are not separate. Everything we think or believe is manifest in our physical experience of this world. Chinese medicine never severed the mind-body connection and true healing requires us to address the whole—mind, body and spirit, as one.

Make an appointment today. Let’s discuss your next healing journey ā¤ļøā€šŸ©¹
