Sunday, our incredible substance abuse counseling team proudly stepped out in support of recovery, hope, and community at East Orange's opioid recovery walk. 💜

Every day, they work tirelessly to guide individuals through some of life’s most challenging moments—and Sunday was a reminder that no one walks that journey alone. From raising awareness to standing in solidarity with those in recovery and their families, this event reflects the heart of what we do.

We are honored to be part of a movement that believes in second chances, healing, and the power of support. Together, we walk toward a future free from stigma and full of hope.

Passover and Easter offer profound opportunities for mental renewal, centering on themes of resilience, liberation, and hope. From a mental health perspective, Passover invites us to move from personal "narrow places" (Mitzrayim) toward freedom, while Easter 🌸 emphasizes hope, new beginnings, and overcoming darkness.

Both holidays offer a mental health break to focus on gratitude, community, and the potential for personal growth, allowing us to rise above past hurts.🌷

To manage holiday stress, prioritize self-care by getting enough sleep, eating well, and exercising; set boundaries by saying "no" and limiting social media; practice mindfulness through breathing or meditation; stay connected with loved ones, but don't overcommit; honor grief if you're mourning; and maintain routines to keep yourself grounded.
