Family Connections’ ADAPT Coalition progression since its inception in 2012 has shown that our coalition members are dedicated to achieving their goal and improving the overall health and wellness of residents throughout Essex County. This includes expanding substance use prevention resources coming to Essex County through additional funding from NJ DMHAS and new funding from the federal governmen
t through the White House’s Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP), the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Our members include youth, parents, educators, community organizations, law enforcement, substance abuse professionals, faith-based and government representatives, and other concerned citizens. Family Connections is a leading New Jersey non-profit that supports children, adults, and families facing many of life’s toughest challenges. We change lives with a wide range of programs to counter trauma, mental illness, addiction, domestic violence, child abuse, and more.
