Giving compliments is free and fun!
You never know. You might make someone's day by a simple, "great job", "nice work", or "I love your outfit".
Being nice as well as genuine is the best way to be.

We post quite a lot about fall prevention because it's an important subject.
We want to keep our elders on their feet.
Another great little item is grabbers.
That way seniors don't have to bend down to pick things up.
It's also good to help bring things down from high up places such as cupboards, so they don't have to get on chairs, small ladders, etc.
Also check their walkers and canes to make sure they're in good working order.
If possible see if the elders in your life are doing or can do some exercising as well, to keep them strong. There are classes that they can do sitting in chairs.

These are great tips for all of us but especially for seniors.
There are also things like adjustable bedside tables and railings for beds that can help elders with having things close by and being able to get in and out of bed easier.

It is good to know why elders fall and do our best to prevent that from happening.
Here are a few reasons.
We can help seniors with good foot ware, get them to their eye doctor if needed and encourage them to talk to their primary care physician if they're having side effects from their meds. Their dosage might need to be adjusted.
It is also mental.
Elders who have fallen down in the past tend to worry a lot about falling in the future.
Let's all do our best to ensure their walking assistance items such as canes and walkers are in good working order, get rid of throw rugs and move cords, to name a few ideas.
Let's keep the seniors on their feet. 😄👍🧡👟🏃
