Maggie had friends and family and all the residents and staff celebrating with her this afternoon for her 100th birthday! They brought cake and ice cream cups for all to enjoy. They even put 100 candles on her cake but only lit 3. After all the treats, we went out front where another resident's son, Greg, brought his BMW trike to take Maggie for a ride in the parking lot. Maggie loves motorcycles and used to have Harley Davidson's as far back as the 40's. When she saw the trike, she got a huge smile on her face up and said, "that's a beast!" She then took a ride. The nurse brought her a pink monkey (pink is her favorite color) and a box of honey buns (her favorite snack) and she wouldn't let go of the monkey or the pink bag. We hope you had a wonderful birthday, Maggie! We love you, Maggie! 🩷

Today Maggie M. turned 100 years old! Let's get the party started! It is quite an accomplishment. Maggie stated that "She doesn't feel like she is 100, she just feels like herself!" Happy Birthday, Maggie!

Last Friday, our resident Tom had a birthday. One of this favorite activities is playing BINGO, so his family asked if they could bring in cinnamon rolls for everyone at 10am and then play BINGO. That is what we did. He even got a birthday serenade from all the staff after morning stand up meeting.

Carolyn DuBois, from Transition Hospice was in our Four Seasons Room one afternoon this week offering an opportunity for the residents to make their own favorite tart (miniature pie). She had so many choices; it was hard to choose: Banana Cream with fresh bananas, white cheesecake, chocolate cheesecake, Boston cream pie, or Chocolate mousse. Along with fresh fruits, chocolate sauce and sprinkles and whipped cream! The homemade tart crusts were heavenly. It was really a treat! Thank you Carolyn!!
